Dream Ticket Update: Looking Good {Political Machine Blog}

Jul 6th 2008 7:03PM Florida Resident -

So let me get this straight. You will only vote for the worst if it is combined with the worst?

You will only vote for McCain if he is mixed with the worst? He's bad enough by himself.

Have you even thought this through.

You have, by the robotic nature of your thoughts, become the Supreme H-bot.

Congratulations.

Jul 6th 2008 4:01PM Steven (or should I say Tom 2) -

The only short term memory loss is liberal case of 9/11 amnesia. Because of it we have a war on terror, it is global and it includes Iraq. You can deal outside reality if you want; it explains why you are an O-bot.

Your Bush quote is taken way out of context and actually isn't a precise quote. Bush didn't say we don't need to do anything. Just like he pulled us out of the Clinton recession of 2001 with his stimulus package, he is doing it again. Because of the first stimulus package our economy weather som mighty financial hits: 9/11, Tornadoes in Florida, Katrina, etc.

Now, on the heels of the 2nd stimulus package (and the 2nd time he has graciously given us back some of our money) he says the economy will "come around". And it will.

If you libs wanted to help, you would write your dip shit congressmen and tell them to make all the tax cuts permanent. All of them.

Right now big business and investors are holding onto their money and holding off on spending because they want to see if Obama gets elected, permanently dooming Bush's tax cuts or if McCain gets elected where they still have the slimmest of chances of becoming permanent.

Even still, business won't be comfortable because of the liberal control of the house and senate. As long as big business and investors aren't comfortable they won't spend and invest and this affects our economy more that the high price of oil/gas.

I do want to thank you, Steven. Finally, I have a legitimate reason to vote for McCain. If it will drive blokes like you to leave the country and lift the burden you place on America, both monetarily and intellectually, then for the first time let me say ...

McCain in 2008!!

Just kidding. Don't be alarmed. I still don't care who wins and will continue trying to help out.

I suspect that Obama has been told already, by the military powers that be, that it's not going to happen the way he lied, um I mean, promised. He Obama knew he would be breaking that promise when made it (this scenario gets my vote) or it is further evidence that he is out of his league on the world stage. Either way he is a dangerous variable in the equation. He needs to be divided by himself and mathematically made to amount to nothing. And that may very well happen as he flips his flop to have even a chance in the general election.

McCain is not my candidate of choice, by any stretch, but what does it say about the libs when their candidate, their choice, their best offer to America is outclassed in every way - experience, creativity, ideas, substance - by an 81 year old, boring as hell, moderate pseudo-maverick that can't even convince the conservative base that he is any different than Obama himself?

We are in trouble no matter what happens, aren't we? Thank goodness, our military will keep them both on the straight and narrow in the war on terror.

You see! I really DON'T care who wins. I am just trying to help out.

Jul 6th 2008 12:25PM PS - You do not impress anybody by throwing around big words like neoliberalism that you don’t think anyone else has ever heard of. In America, the left wing liberal is for entrapping, controlling and mining the masses under the guise that they can’t survive unless the liberal left, who knows what is best for them, takes care of them. The conservative (and I don’t mean Republican) is for empowering the individual with freedom, unencumbered by government interference so that they can dream about, aspire towards and actually become the next Bill Gates, Sam Walton or Warren Buffet. In this country that possibility still exists if we can just keep the libs from killing it with their brand of hope through hopelessness.

Well isn't that cute. Splash took the bait. Aren't you clever now? You should take all the effort you pour into your nay-saying pessimistic half-empty glass and fill 'er up with a little gratitude that someone really cares whether or not your kids are killed or even threatened with death by someone else's brainwashed kids whom you have never even met.

Your gracious "Thank You" makes it all worth while. It is not uncommon for people like you, who have never been oppressed to take the freedoms you have for granted. You bitch that you have lost so much under the Bush administration without recognizing that you, yes even a bozo like you, are fortunate enough to live amongst the freest people on Earth.

I know you're still not happy, but whoop de do. I don't care. So every now and again someone's business gets raided, their records get demanded and they are told to put a lid on it. In other countries governments bust into your home, rape your wife to death, sell your kids on the black market and put a gag order on you with a bullet in your head. What cha gunna do. Shit happens. Of course, you probably are convinced that this is how our entire military conducts itself in Iraq.

Freedom. During war time, you do lose some freedoms. During WW I all chewing gum factories were require to stop making gum and were forced to make rubber for the war effort. Freedom. People had big plans for their lives and then in Korea and Viet Nam they were drafted. Freedom. During the Cold War all calls, foreign and domestic, were tapped for key words and listened to, if necessary. Sorry 'bout that, Tom. That's life in a world where freedom is constantly under attack from both external and, worse, internal forces.

If you want to rob an individual of freedom, just take his money. What is he free to do then? We have lost much more Freedom under liberal rule. We have an entire block of society enslaved to a system, paid for by our tax dollars, that won't let them go unless they are willing to starve for a while. They want to, but an empty belly is a pretty good reason to surrender. And we did it because Lyndon Johnson said, that it would never cost more than $100 million/year and that it would eradicate poverty within a decade; it was the biggest lie in liberal history (so far). If these entitlements were gone (and they never should have been in the first place), so too would vanish our deficit (and our debt).

And the poor vote democrat because their situation is hopeless and hopelessness is what the libs prey on. They hold their hand up as high as they can hoping to snag an additional piece of bread; “Crumbs for all our constituents!” Just look at Mary Brown, above. She may be the next victim poster child for the Dems, if she takes my advice (and if she was smart, she would). Maybe there will be book rights to sell down the road, if she’s lucky.

And now we want to ad UHC to the mix (or as you libs would call it, to the fix). There goes even more of our freedom. There is NOTHING that the government hasn’t stuck its greedy little mittens on that didn’t become more expensive and less efficient. I challenge you to find me an example.

We are robbed, I’m sorry, voluntarily give 15.3% of each paycheck to a program from which I doubt we will ever see a dime. The price of our products are loaded with corporate taxes, regulatory costs, legal defense planning and high labor costs and we wonder why we can't compete globally or why all our jobs leave the country.

You want’ those jobs to come back, Tom. I refer you again to the corporate tax holiday of 2005 where hundreds of billions of dollars surged back into our economy, along with $18 billion in found tax money, all because we cut one, JUST ONE, tax to those stupid rich corporate pigs. How many people can be employed by $360 billion, Tom? I know what you are thinking; "Those didn't hire anybody, they just wrote themselves a bigger, fatter paycheck." Make this and other corporate, yes corporate, tax cuts permanent and you can have all your factories, jobs and prosperity back. Continue punishing success and you can be assured of future self-loathing bitch sessions.

And, for the record, we didn’t kill 4,100 American soldiers; radical Muslims did. If you can’t accept that it is proof positive that no matter what W does you don’t like it. He could leave a golden pair of panties under your pillow and you would be looking for the shit that he must have left in your jammies.

I know you have bought into the notion that America is at the end of her rope, that she just can't afford to go on, that she cannot take gas prices of $5, $6 or more. Well, necessity is the mother of invention. We are, even without our factories (many of which we still have, even if we are not presently using them) a country full of ingenuity. We will survive and thrive, not in spite of you, but because of you. Nay-sayers like you help us think of situations we need to avoid, problems we need to consider and consequences we need to plan for. So, thanks, Tom, for your contribution to what makes America great. Your negativity helps to accentuate the positive.

We don’t conquer people; we free them. We don’t leave countries in destruction; we rebuild them. We don’t steal a people’s resources (except for Native Americans), we give them back. We train them, give them technology, assist them with money and tuck them in at night. All so you can have the right to say, “I still ain’t proud” without being imprisoned or executed.

Whatcha gunna do? You can’t win with you half glassers and you won’t go live somewhere else. So we keep going, dragging you nay-sayers kicking and screaming, like children, right along with us to freedom.

For what it’s worth, you’re welcome.

You, sir, are the male version of Michelle Obama. Too bad you are not more proud of America's support of free people around the world.

Actually, there is more truth in your sarcasm than you realize. Except for the last paragraph where you have bitten into the scare tactic that America is not resourceful enough to sustain another war front. Whatever will we do when the next world war breaks out.

I'll tell you what we will do. We will, again, save the world and keep may more countries from having to switch languages to that of their new masters. We will, again, be unappreciated because there will always be groups of people like you, both at home and abroad, who thrive on demonizing all the good we do around the world. Fortunately for the world that lack of appreciation won't stop us from coming to her rescue because we thrive on defending that basic principle that so many other people of the world are imprisoned or executed for even dreaming of - FREEDOM. It is who we are. It is what we do.

Russian support is forced in their country by imprisoning dissidents. Chinese support is forced in their country by imprisoning dissidents. Only in America are you permitted to be so diabolically opposed to your own nation and be granted a forum to voice it and an audience to be brainwashed by it.

That, Tom, is freedom and it is something to be proud of indeed.
