When a liberal (such as Reid) uses terms such as used, the liberal media wirte long articles to justify the speech and suggest that we all need to re-examine ourselves and the truth of our attitudes on race.

-------All of these are verifiable facts no one can dispute. Except that none of that is happening at any different rate than before, and it is disputed, the last two years have been cooler than in the last 2 decades-------
-----If we can put up wind mills and solar panels to ease our dependence on foreign oil, why not? Windmills and solar panels will not decrease dependence on foreign oil, less than 1% of US electric power generation uses oil. Also, the cost of maintenance and disposal for windmills and solar panels will increase the cost of electricity by a factor 4 times over today’s prices and we will have to live with roaming blackouts-----
-----If we can put a car on the road that runs on batteries, why not? Because the cost again is much higher and you have to build more high dollar windmills (or burn cheap coal) to charge the vehicles (you have to get the electricity somewhere), not to mention that all the batteries are life limiting and contain large amounts of lead and acid - hazardous materials to be disposed of. ---------

------ Every dollar spent here to better our own energy needs is better than sending that dollar to a country that really doesn't like us much seems to be a better idea. Any time we can do for ourselves and not depend on others should be a better idea. Just because Al Gore is spreading the message, doesn't mean there isn't a valid point being made. I have heard Al Gores message and if he even took a science class when he was in college, he undoubtedly failed, so the message he spreads is that he wants alot of people to spend alot of effort and money BECUASE HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING.
Many of the questions you ask are answered when you take a science based college course education. Lawyers and politicians take little science and a lot of speaking. We want them to speak, but just wish they would stick to subject they know a least a little about.----
