Lindsay Lohan & Sam Ronson a Couple? {Popeater Dev Site}
Jul 20th 2008 9:29PM It shouldn't matter what a person's sexual orientation is, but it doesn't need to be broadcast. I don't personally have a problem with gay/lesbians as I've got a few friends from High School that are. However, I do find it pretty offensive that to sell magazines, movies, and tv advertisements there has to be the element of GAY. It's not a wonder our kids are growing up too quickly.
Maria Sharapova Is Right, WTA Is Wrong: Tennis Is More Important Than Photo Shoots {Fanhouse Backporch}
May 8th 2008 10:41AM Dani Michaels - Excuse you? Did you actually READ the article? She isn't opposed to the photo shoot, she was opposed to the timing of it. So your rant was wasted. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that trying to do a photo shoot prior to a tournament is not smart. Had she participated in the shoot, and her game was off, the WTA would have been happy about that either. She's right on for wanting to have her game on. After all, that's what she's supposed to be there for!
What turns men on {That's Fit}
May 7th 2008 1:36PM Camy - I'm close to a man right now that I was friends with first. I never thought a lot of his looks when I got to know him - what I loved first was his laugh, and his sense of humor. After 2 years or so of getting to know him (ok I missed the signs that he liked me)....we're very close and I think he is cute as ever. What makes him that way to me is his humor and how sweet he is. I guess I must be different because I look at how a person acts rather than what they look like.
What turns men on {That's Fit}
May 7th 2008 1:31PM Kay, Maybe the secret was right under your nose? Your attitude. Just because YOU thought that the woman was not attractive or appealing doesn't mean that she wasn't. When I took law classes, (and I am plump yet cute!) I had people flocking around me too. I was the youngest in my class and had the highest grades - the men esp. liked me because I am smart and I have a good sense of humor. You don't have to be a glamour queen to be liked. I'd rather have extra meat on my bones and be a nice, loving, and caring person than be a Barbie any day!
What turns men on {That's Fit}
May 7th 2008 1:24PM It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that everyone has different tastes. I think that you will find a difference in men's preferences in the different parts of the country. The coastal states, men are more apt to be superficial. The mid-west states tend to go more for values. I'm from the NW and people were very cricical of body types. I moved to the mid-west and found a lot of men liked me not only for my personality but also my intellect. You'll find more full figured women in the mid west, down to the south and they are more accepted as beautiful. Beauty is still in the eye of the beholder, yet true beauty comes from within!
Dad calls from Iraq, son gets suspended {ParentDish}
Apr 24th 2008 5:37PM It's all well and good for the school officials to try and suspend this kid because of policy - at some point these administrators need to pull their head out of their rumps and realize that there are exceptions to be made. If the parent had previously made arrangements with the principal then the kid should not have been punished. Shame on the school officials for THEIR conduct. I'd like to see some of them stand on a wall and risk their life...Anyone know the name of the school??
Starbucks tries out a new logo {BloggingStocks}
Apr 15th 2008 10:58AM Starbucks isn't just about coffee, at least in my opinion. It is the whole package - atmosphere, socialization for example. Starbucks set the stage for a type of experience that other companies have tried to duplicate, but cannot. I grew up in the Northwest and was a frequent Starbucks patron. What I loved about going into the shops wasn't just about a great cup of brewed coffee - it was about the people, and the spirit. It was amazing the diverse groups of people that would come together in a Starbucks. I don't mind paying a few extra dollars a cup for a positive experience. When I wrote one of my first publications - I wrote it in a Starbucks. The logo and the color does have a vintage tone - and I applaud the CEO for trying to get back to the basics.
Woman Sleeps With 50 Men From Facebook "I Need Sex" Group {Switched.com}
Apr 12th 2008 1:40PM Well, she slept with more than 50 men - every time you sleep with somebody you aren't only sleeping with that person, but every person that they have been with. All I can say is YUCK.... I can't imagine how desperate somebody is to sleep with a bunch of strange men. She could have gotten herself a good vibe and not risked her health. What self respecting men or woman for that matter would even do something like that?
Wal-Mart now selling its own milk -- without added hormones {BloggingStocks}
Mar 25th 2008 4:06PM Those who have the available space to do so, should become self contained, growing your own food - and raising your own goats for milk. I raise registered dairy goats in Arkansas. Goat milk is better for you than cow milk, and people with allergies can drink it. With the recession hitting, the best thing everyone can do is get back to their roots - growing their own.
Julia Roberts -- America's Pissed-Off Sweetheart {TMZ}
Nov 29th 2007 3:46PM I become a bit insensed at the morons that think that just because someone is a "celebrity" that it entitles the papparazzi to chase after, harass, and stalk them for what may be a potential Kodak moment. At what point are people entitled to their own private life? Think about that for a minute. Each of you who have posted here, wouldn't want someone aiming a camera in your face or in your children's faces 24/7. I don't blame Julia Roberts one bit for trying to protect her children.
