Hype Check: Dyson DC24 Vacuum Cleaner {Switched.com}
Apr 13th 2008 7:31AM I also have the purple dyson, think it was called the animal. Spent around 400 on it.
Having a 90 pound golden retriever we've been putting this vacum to the test. For about the last 4 years. Not only are we amazed every time we vacum our house,1-2 times a week. But we can't believe that it still works just the same after this time period.
The wand extension is very easy to use on this model. Though as mentioned the hosing is a bit on the stiff side.
Empying the canister is a snap. You remove it, put it over the garbage can and push the red button down, the bottom pops open and a couple of shakes and clean.
Their is some maintenance with this vacum. For one about every 6 months the brushes have to be cleaned as to remove the dog hair that has wrapped around them.
And about every 3 months or so I take apart the canister and clean the inside and out. With hot water the dust just washes away. And I clean the HEPA filter at this time as well. Which basically like wringing out a sponge.
One other thing is this vacum is indeed heavy.
IMHO this is the best vacum I ever used. I would buy a Dyson again in a heart beat.

Mar 28th 2008 5:00PM Keep going, show us how stupid you are.
#1. Yes ir2bt was 200 units big!
#2. Yes, their production facilities are 100 units per week!
#3. As a consumer I don't care what their start up capital was/ is! Nor is it my problem! If a company is going to market with a product that many PS3 owners want and will continue to just want, at these production numbers! Do the math. I'll say it one last time 10million2twohundred. O dam see what i did there. Chances are...Not.
eugene sorry. I'm done with your bending over, getting fisted up your ass. Bruce Mitchell owned slut!

Mar 28th 2008 1:35PM Bruce Mitchell... Bah 200 units is all you made WTF. Guess I'll forget about this and just keep using my Sony BT remote. Not gonna sit until the next 100 units come out and then miss them too. Nope f'that. I'll wait till the next company that comes out with the "next best universal IR BT solution". Just goes to show people from Florida have fried brains from to much sun.

Woman files $54m lawsuit against Best Buy for losing laptop {Engadget}
Feb 19th 2008 3:56PM I'am somewhat new to the site.And not much about posting things. So just wanted to share this. So you can look at this in several ways. Both my wife and I recently recieved letters from our health care provider, Blue Cross Blue Shield. Stateing that recently a employee had their laptop stolen. And that both of our names,adress, and ss#'s were on the machine. Now I know we were'nt the only ones on that machine.
So what if this machine was the one lost by Buy? How much is that worth to all peeps involved?
