Career Changers Choose Teaching (Careers Articles - Online Degrees)

Oct 13th 2009 5:51PM I left my position in a large corporation 5 years ago to teach. I still love it! However, unless you are in an urban area or have GREAT connections, finding a position is next to impossible. I'm in the Central NJ area and have many friends and classmates from my university program who have been substituting for two or three years and still can't find a teaching job. Its a very tough field.

Aug 13th 2009 9:41AM Could we stop turning every event into a "race" card. It is productive for no one. If the rules of the event were "No Posters Allowed", that should mean no posters allowed! Whether it was a "Stars Wars" poster o a poster of an American icon, it should not have been allowed in.

Career Changers Choose Teaching (Careers Articles - Online Degrees)

Jun 28th 2009 9:49PM BOGUS!!! I teach in NJ and it took me four years to get a P/T position. Most of my friends are still looking for jobs and the ones who have teaching jobs received "RIF" notices (reduction in forces) because of budget cuts, etc. It is almost impossible to get a teaching job in NJ because someone's brother, cousin, daughter needs a job. Nepotism is rampant!!!

The First Ladies Wore White: Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni in France (BV on Style)

Jun 8th 2009 7:21PM No offense but with unemployment at 9.2% and foreclosures at an 80 year high, could grandma and the family have stayed home. Not a great time to be having a grand old time in Paree on the taxpayers buck.
P.S. White dress was a faux pas!!!

PA Governor 'Nervous,' Sees McCain Surge (Politics Daily)

Oct 22nd 2008 3:16PM Donna,
You calling Palin an idiot is as hateful as any racial comment uttered in this campaign!! Perhaps you are the "IDIOT" since you can not admire that someone has accomplished a lot in her life, even if her views differ greatly from yours. While I don't agree with any of Obama's views, I can admire his accomplishments (doesn't mean I would vote for him)

Obama and Age Demographics (Politics Daily)

Sep 12th 2008 9:54PM Obama campaign is messing up BIG time! It's new ad making fun of McCain for not using a computer doesn't take into account that he can't use a keyboard because of war injuries!!!!!Dems should have had Hilary running, she wouldn't self-implode like Nobama

Obama Ad Ridicules McCain over War Injuries (Politics Daily)

Sep 12th 2008 9:46PM As an independent, I am embarassed by this campaign!!This country has serious economic and safety issues and we are hearing GARBAGE!! Obama, shame on you and your campaign tactics.

MSNBC About to 'Blow Up'? (Politics Daily)

Aug 29th 2008 9:51PM MSNBC has become a joke!! Between Matthews gushing over Obama and Olberman sulking when someone says something he doesn't agree with, you feel like its an SNL segment. No wonder they are in last place in the ratings.

Oprah Winfrey: Turning 9/11 Into Gold? (BV Newswire)

Aug 29th 2008 3:48PM Sad that she chose 9/11 to do a show that would be great at any other time! Sept. 11 is a day of respect and remembering all those who lost their lives that day. Oprah, pick another day to honor the Olympic stars and leave 9/11 alone!
