Unemployment Dips to 8.9 Percent, 192K Jobs Added (AOL Jobs)

Mar 4th 2011 2:08PM I've been unemployed for almost a year. I've never been counted in these numbers because I've never drawn unemployment. I'd imagine you can double those figures and be fairly accurate.

Kingsburg High School Pulls Off Miraculous Trick Play...Twice (Fanhouse Backporch)

Dec 24th 2010 12:27AM The first one is indeed a hail mary. Hail Mary's happen as the clock expires. The second I would not qualify as a Hail Mary, but rather busted coverage. With 2 minutes left, there was plenty of time for scoring on both sides.

6 Brilliant Laptops, From Budget to Big-Ticket (Switched)

Dec 14th 2010 1:44PM @Betsy

This is just untrue. I own Macs and PC's. Don't buy into the hype. Macs DO slow down just like PC's. If properly maintained both will continue to operate at high speeds, and I'd say my PC laptop with Windows 7 has less hiccups than my macbook with OS X Leopard. I can't tell you how many times I have to watch the pinwheel of death. I've been a computer user for the last 15 years, a Computer Science Major, and a certified New Media Technologies expert. While I thoroughly enjoy my Macs, they have no place in a budget laptop article. They're nice computers but overpriced.

PETA Thinks Next Uga Should Be a Robotic Dog (Pawnation OLD)

Nov 28th 2009 10:58AM yeah, I'm calling bs. I went to UGA and from your comment I'm guessing if you've ever been to Athens it was probably to see a indigo girls concert!

PETA Thinks Next Uga Should Be a Robotic Dog (Pawnation OLD)

Nov 28th 2009 10:53AM You people really don't understand the half of it. UGA's bloodline is the furthest thing from a "puppy mill". Their breeding mates are so carefully selected . These animals are adored by their owners. I'm a UofGA alumnus and I can tell you these dogs live high on the hog. They have air conditioned dog houses, live and fly from Savannah, GA every saturday during football season to the games, and PETA didn't even bother to mention that UofGA has one of the top vet schools in the country, where UGA receives free care!

Overheating iPhone reports 'exploding' all over France, Apple responds (Engadget)

Aug 28th 2009 9:47PM and by MP3 players I meant cellphones?

Overheating iPhone reports 'exploding' all over France, Apple responds (Engadget)

Aug 28th 2009 9:45PM Great! Now the EU will be requiring that all other MP3 players be equally as explosive as iPhones or they can't be sold in Europe.

Windows 7 review (Engadget)

Aug 13th 2009 6:57PM I personally hope 7 is a good OS, but I am furious with buying Vista. Everytime Vista upgrades I have new problems with it. Aside from the one time I swapped out processors I haven't had any issues with reactivating a license. But I had a lot of issues with external peripherals. Vista SP1(or 2?) seems to have finally fixed a lot of re-boot issues. As far as not bundling email/photo/calendar etc. I don't know what they were thinking. This is one area where MS could have excelled considering Apple requires you to BUY their photo/video/productivity apps. I do understand as well that apparently MS can't bundle anything in their own OS since the European CommUnion likes to hate on them.

Microsoft's browserless Windows 7 E gets EUthanized (Engadget)

Aug 3rd 2009 12:20PM All right all you socialists and communists out there. Time to let out a big hooray! We've brought down the big American internet machine! I've read the comments on here a million times already. I'm a Windows, OS X and Linux user. I think this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. If Microsoft wasn't concerned about posting a profit in Europe, they'd tell the EU to go F*$!@ themselves. If you develop a user friendly, cost effective solution for home computing, and part of that solution includes a method of surfing the internet, then you by every right should be able to include YOUR solution in YOUR product. At the time that Windows caught on as the operating system of choice, MS was making all of the right moves and IT WAS the easiest computing option at the time. Just because others have caught up and surpassed MS on quality and innovation, doesn't mean MS should be forced to include their competitors products within their product. Look at OS X. There is a reason that Apple computers have consistently gained market share every year in the US and abroad. They are developing a superior product, and people HAVE a choice. If Opera/Mozilla/Google/Apple don't like that their browsers play second fiddle, continue to develop superior operating systems that make sense and the masses will follow. That's the price for showing up to the game late.

Verizon rumored to be pushing up LTE plans to Q1 2010, new Apple device the catalyst? (Engadget)

Jul 25th 2009 1:09AM I can't believe some of these comments. Apple is in the business of selling consumer electronics. I don't think they have allegiance to any phone company, I think they are looking for the highest bidder.
