Student Denied Diploma After Blowing Kiss to Mom (Asylum)

Jun 18th 2009 4:39AM The commentors (most anyway) don't seem to understand that the principal saw a kiss, a two handed 'pointing', a bow and a display of jewelry. The editor of the article said "blew kiss to mom". How was the principal to know to whom the student's antics were aimed?

And when confronted about his 'celebratory' conduct which clearly violated the rules, his response was curt and surly, and not apologetic or explanatory. It is exactly that kind of 'showoff' conduct that needs to be quashed. If it is ever to be reigned in, it has to start somewhere, and this was a perfect 'somewhere.'

Miss California and Perez Hilton Act Like a Couple of Pageant Queens (Lemondrop)

Apr 21st 2009 5:21PM LemonDrop staff is quite the 'ass' in this case. A very challenging question was posed. Miss C. mererly left out the work 'sex' in "opposite (sex) marriage" and LemonDrop calls her "word-horked" and makes not attempt to supply the clearly missing word.

Miss C. was poised, honest and quite diplomatic. That the judge later called her a 'bitch' speaks as loudly about who is tolerant and who is not. Gay rights advocates ought to be trying to tone down Hilton. This rant of his, as an accepted spokesperson for gay rights, is going to set the movement back years, and I am sorry to see that.

Boy Hires Hitman to Kill Parents After Losing His PlayStation Priviledges (Switched)

Feb 6th 2008 6:59PM It seems to me that a child who is 16 years old needs to be made to feel good about his choices. Otherwise, he will have low self-esteem. He should be told that we understand his anger, that wanting to kill his parents is a normal and nature emotion, but that taking the extra step of hiring a hitman is a 'no-no.' His Playstation should be restored to him immediately because it is right as an American to be happy. Making him unhappy is obvioulsy what led to his outburst. His parents should be punished for not complimenting the child when he did good things, while criticizing him and punishing him when he did bad. Those who say that spanking him when he was young would have helped are just wrong. Spanking can never do any good. It only promotes violence, and . . . oh wait. This child was violent even without spanking. Never mind that last comment, but trust me on the others.
