Feb 5th 2008 9:28PM One thing I really can't stand about news is sensationalism. This story was past on to me by a friend and it has already been slashed by the state's House Public Health Committee chairman. Furthermore, the article explains that the lawmaker was trying to raise awareness of a serious problem in his state. Unfortunately it drew more attention to the problem of ridiculous laws than the issue itself. Personally it was a waste of time and resources that could have been put towards passing a bill that would fund something to address the problem rather than sideshow it.
