Retired Cisco chairman gives $175 million to Wisconsin students (BloggingStocks)

Dec 18th 2007 6:32PM Students in Wisconsin should be some of the brightest in the world. They need to take advantage of education and be world leaders in technology. My two oldest sons went to Columbia University School of Engineering in NYC, so getting the education is a matter of studying and putting out effort.

Dvorak Says We Should Send Rice, Not Laptops, To Children (Switched)

Dec 14th 2007 10:14AM What they need to do is provide ESSURE permanent birth control for these women so they don't continue to have more and more children that they cannot feed, let alone educate. A woman who has one child that she can care for is then able to do for that child. Poverty in America was lifted when people no longer had 8 or 10 kids to feed in a family. ESSURE doesn't require any surgery and blocks the woman's tubes so she has permanent birth control.

Give the Gift of Pearly White Teeth (Switched)

Nov 25th 2007 9:54AM Spending $149 for a toothbrush is a waste of money. I asked my Dentist about US toothbrushes and he said they can't produce another force to actually do any good. It is the BRUSHING they do that you notice. The ultrasound cleaning device used in the Dentist Office isn't a $149 piece of equipment, so that is why it works for the Hygentist.

Study Shows Video Games Make Senior Citizens' Brains Sharper (Switched)

Nov 21st 2007 2:46PM Jack Lalanne is 93 and as sharp as can be, because he exercises 2 hours every morning. You have to respect the man, because he lives what he teaches and he's in wonderful health.

Study Finds Link Between Wi-Fi and Autism (Switched)

Nov 21st 2007 10:04AM Why doesn't anyone find out if these parents were drug users in the past? The use of designer drugs and cocaine, etc. must linger in the body of the user and cause ill effects, yet no one wants to talk about this. Just find sometime that they can SUE over, rather than look inward.

Early teen sex, less delinquency later (That's Fit)

Nov 14th 2007 10:52AM When I grew up in the 60's the "popular" girls were all having sex, but no one talked about them, because it might have made them mad and then some guy wouldn't have gotten anymore off them. I always thought waiting to get married as a Virgin was the stupidist idea in the world.

Brooke Burke expecting number four (ParentDish)

Nov 14th 2007 8:03AM There is nothing wrong with plastic surgery, except to lie about having had it. BUT, the best thing any pregnant woman can do for herself to get back in shape is to BREASTFED her baby. Nature has designed it as the way to finish the pregnancy and get healthy. The weight will come off.

Most Offensive Coulter Statement? (Politics Daily)

Oct 14th 2007 10:10AM I think she is great!

Breast cancer risk tied to mother's hip size (That's Fit)

Oct 10th 2007 11:01PM #2 Teresa, that is completely pathetic. Just a scare tactic. What women really need to do is be encouraged to breast-fed the infants they have to help regenerate the breast tissue instead of being given male hormone to "dry up" their milk so they bottle feed and buy formula.

Cell Phones Powered By Bacteria? (Switched)

Oct 9th 2007 5:36PM Using solar panels makes so much more sense, as the sun shines in Africa everyday. I saw a man on TV who had invented a solar panel about the size of a coffee table top that could fold up and be stored at night or carried where you needed to use it during the day and it could power a radio, cell phone, small appliance, etc. He wanted to make them available for about $30 but I have never seen him on TV since the documentary about 6 years ago. Some oil company probably brought up his rights to the technology so we won't see it in use.
