You Say Party Announce Split, Leave Fans With Video for 'Laura Palmer's Prom' (Spinner)
Apr 15th 2011 12:52AM I guess the band's lead singer is a chick? I didn't get that impression from reading about them before I watched the 'Laura Palmer's Prom' video. Anyway...I'm a long time fan of Twin Peaks, David Lynch and the prequel movie to Twin Peaks, "Fire Walk With Me". I gotta give this band credit for even remembering this work of art. Let me just say that for anyone who really likes the video but just doesn't 'get it', review the story line (just Google 'Twin Peaks: the series' and you'll have what you need to decipher the video. Of course you can rent/purchase the movie ("Fire Walk With Me"0. Aimee Mann has a small role. I think Twin Peaks the series and "Firw Walk With Me' are the best works of Lynch and made me a fan. Eraserhead and eve Mulholla Drive didn't do it for me but I really did try.
Lady Gaga Hatches From Egg and Into Controversy Onstage at 2011 Grammy Awards (AOL Music Blog)
Feb 14th 2011 5:02AM Madonna? NO!! This is clearly a throwback to Mork and Mindy! Fly my fried! Be free! You journalists need your own eggs cracked. Unoriginal, no imagination and stuck in the same rut - the whole lot of you. Lady Gaga is an original. Her new song sounds NOTHING like "Express Yourself" either. wah wah wah
You're a bunch of flunkees who can't write. And Lady Gaga CAN!
Report: Lance Armstrong Caught With Drugs by Customs Officials in 2003 (Fanhouse Main)
Jan 20th 2011 4:38PM Economy getting to you, Bob? Sounds like you resent the fact that he made some money. The guy had cancer. That was real. Can you imagine the endurance it must take to overcome that? And the amount of money? I don't approve of his woman-hopping and the hearts he's broken; but as for his sport, I'd say give him credit where credit is due. I personally think all the vast majority of top level pro athletes are covering up for each other and that to compete with each other they're taking the drugs. Athletes are extremely competitive and at his level endurance is key. That doesn't make it right but it is what it is. Don't people realize the whole world is operating on a different value system these days than the right one? Get over it and move on. Enjoy the show don't let it drive you nuts arguing on a message board.
How to Achieve a Healthy, Beautiful Smile (Stylelist)
Dec 12th 2010 9:46PM A lot of Crests products in the Pro-Health line STAIN your teeth. Yes. This happened to me and my dental hygienist told me that's what the stains were from when I went in for my cleaning. It was so bad I thought they were cavaties. Not all of their products do that - I use and like the VIVID WHITE immensely. Still, in the dental world, it a known fact that some of Crest's products stain the teeth so buyers beware.
Cat Returns Home 5 Years After Hurricane Katrina (Pawnation OLD)
Dec 10th 2010 2:18AM What a wonderful tale! I found my red Chow after almost 3 years in 2001. I lost him in 1998 and looked in the paper under "Found" every day from fall of 1998 to March of 2001. Matthew was wild. He always broke free - even crashed through windows. I knew that he'd end up in the paper no matter who he had found a home with after I lost him sooner or later. I never gave up hope. Miracles do happen!
I need help if anyone can help me - I've been taking care of a tribe of feral cats in my neighborhood. I've tamed the ones that I could, had them fixed, etc... I'll be moving soon and I don't want to leave the wild ones behind. I've been taking care of some of them since they were kittens they've never had to fend for themselves. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do? Those particular ones won't let me touch them, so picking them up and taking them anywhere without the aid of a trap is not possible. Ideas? I live in Kentucky and this backwoods state has a farm mentality. The shelter here would only put them to sleep. If anyone knows of any way I can save the lives of these animals without leaving them to fend for themselves, please let me know. Thank you.

Sep 14th 2010 11:50AM I agree - 'amazing!' is another one. It replaces 'genre'. Am I right?

The 2010 Emmy Awards Had a Great Host, but Odd Pacing (AOL TV)
Aug 30th 2010 11:03PM I agree. "Lost"'s fans were fanatical about the show - and I think it's because those fans were reincarnated from either the past or future where the world around them was gone, as far as they could tell, and they were the only ones left - or souls who had at one time been stranded. It just struck a very deep chord for so many - and there has to be an explanation. As for myself, I thought it was the dumbest show I'd ever seen - and when they went to off-location shoots and the scenery was fake it was laugh out loud god-awful. But for those who were fans, they truly loved this show. Again, you have to wonder why some people can relate so immensely to something and others have no use for it. It's in the stars...and a very personal thing.
