Jan 3rd 2009 8:16AM My husband turned me on to GPS. For years I thought it was just a "man thing", never wanting to stop for directions or not knowing how to read a map thing, until he showed me what it could do.
I am a yard sale nut and can go to any town or subdivision and not get lost. I love my husband for getting me one of my own.
George Strait Named Decade's Best (The Boot)
Dec 5th 2008 9:31AM I feel like I'm his #1 fan. I just love him. My family and friends threw me a George Strait themed surprise 50th birthday party. It was awesome! George's picture was on my cake. I saved that 3x3 piece of George cake in my freezer, vacuum packed, for almost 2 years. Every evening I'd open my freezer and there he was smiling at me in that way he does and I'd say, "hi George". Huricane Ike took my electricity and my George. His face just melted away. I was heart broken when my husband threw it away. I also have a little photo of George in his wranglers just inside my closet door. Enough said. Smile ladies.
Guilty Displeasures (AOL Food Blog)
Jan 30th 2008 11:01AM Funny thing about the things we throw up over the years. #30 got it right. Every time I open a bag of Fritos, it reminds me of Lucy Hoffman in the 9th grade throwing up her Fritos in the Homemaking Class. For 36 years now I've thought of Lucy. I wonder if she ever thinks of me.
Did you ever notice how some things we throw up tastes EXACTLY the same coming out as it did going in? Steak is one I don't mind getting rid of. I love it, but it hates me. So, I get to love it twice.
I know, that's just plumb nasty. But it's true.
On the list are:
Movie Popcorn dripping with butter. Makes me puke every single time I eat it. And I eat it every single time I go to the movie. I always get the medum size and don't share. Get your own, is what I tell them. I love it.
It hates me.
Tapioca Pudding has never touched these lips. What the hell is that in there? Can't eat it.
Everyone's stories are great. I have laughed my ass off at some of them. Keep em coming!
