Mar 16th 2008 5:33PM My husband is a stroke patient who has aphasia, he has lost the ability to speak. He is only 60 and could live for another 30 years unable to speak. This technology would make his life easier. Granted technology can be abused like anything can, but it also can be a boon.

Jan 29th 2008 10:13PM The problem I see with something like a hat to cure dementia is that if it only works a small bit and does not produce a real cure people who are willing to grasp at anything will use it instead of seeking the medical help that they may be able to use to slow the decline. It would be wonderful if the hat did work, but I am afraid it will cause more problems for people all ready suffering.
