Woman Faces Foreclosure on House She Bought for $1 (AOL Real Estate)

Sep 11th 2011 7:14PM The headline is misleading. It wasn't the purchase of the house that caused the problems; it was all the renovation work she financed with the bank that was the problem.

Jaleel White on Playing Steve Urkel, Being Dissed by Bill Cosby & More in 'Vanity Fair' (theBVX.com)

Jun 18th 2011 8:53AM Jaleel will forever be known and loved as Urkel, as tends to happen when an actor/actress makes such a great impression in a role. Quite frankly, Urkel gave "Family Matters" character; somehow I don't think the show would have lasted as long without him.

He's still doing things and has his head on straight and that's what's important. Sadly too many child actors/actresses seemingly lose their minds, get onto a wrong and dangerous path, and end up in tragic situations. So indeed, props to Jaleel's parents, but more importantly to him because the choices were his alone to make.

ESPN Trades Integrity for Ratings With James' Special (Fanhouse NBA Blog)

Jul 8th 2010 5:41PM Puh-lease!!! All these over-paid athletes are arrogant and egotistical, but of course it's the public that makes them that way. I say ignore them and they will learn humility.

Miss USA Contestants Wear Ultra Sexy Lingerie for Official Promo Photos (Stylelist)

May 11th 2010 8:14PM Seriously now; is Trump trying to get a rise from making these young women parade around like tramps? Oh wait I keep forgetting that it's all about superficial and artifical beauty and not about brains with this pagents and so therefore class and sophistication and self-respect are not required; the trashier the better. Guess these girls don't care if they have to sleep with every person who puts the pagent together. Yet they insist on a morality clause! Like why? There's nothing moral about the whole thing.

Ashley Graham on Lane Bryant Commercial: 'Curves Are In, and They Are Here to Stay' (Stylelist)

Apr 26th 2010 8:47PM Men that chase after the thin, waif look must have pedophile mindsets and secretly lust after little girls (or perhaps boys). Real women have curves and breasts that aren't implanted. If there was ever a food shortage, those thin people would starve to death first.

The stations that dared to ban this tasteful ad are showing their sexist selves by doing all they can to damage female self-esteem.

"Obesity" To Be Banned in England? (That's Fit)

Apr 14th 2010 6:48AM It's a waste of time trying to change words or terms to avoid "hurting someone's feelings". As the childhood chant goes "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me"; I think people have forgotten that.

The obesity problem is not solely the individual's fault. The growth hormones pumped into the food supply (gotta love that "Frankenfood") is consumed and it stays in the body. Technology has created a less active lifestyle. Why walk or bike when you can drive; why run around and play outside when there's tv and video games (granted now both are portable so you can sit outside and watch/play them). People work longer hours instead of enjoying leisure time so no wonder we are so stressed that mere words create meltdowns. Sure there' tons of sports especially for youth but who can afford the outrageous prices and if you have to spend several days at a baseball field for example and you work full-time then there's no time to pack healthy snacks so the concession stand becomes the place to be.

So what needs to happen is that the food industry must stop what they are doing and hopefully we can save ourselves and the generations to come.

Mustached Americans Petition to Move Super Bowl to Saturday (Asylum)

Feb 4th 2010 6:33PM Here's an even better idea; cancel the Superbowl and every other professional post-season sporting event. Further let's pay these players[of games] minimum wage since that's about all any of them are worth! There is no reason to advocate gluttony and alcoholism and aggressive behavior as a means of "enjoying" a game.

Johnny Weir Fights Backlash Over Fur Figure Skating Costume With Controversial Comments (Stylelist)

Jan 27th 2010 6:07PM Weir is absolutely right. The first priority should be towards eradicating human suffering. While perhaps PETA can raise valid points about the killing of animals for their fur what about the intentional raising of animals for food and then wasting the hides of those animals that could instead be used for clothing or other items that would benefit humans? I seriously doubt that every card carrying PETA member is also a card carrying vegan. If PETA is in fact so concerned about the needless suffering of animals they would also be unable to deny that overall the populations of animals are controlled and thus the remaining ones have a sufficient food supply which if they didn't would cause a great deal of suffering.

Elizabeth Edwards and John Edwards Separate, Can Divorce in One Year (Politics Daily)

Jan 27th 2010 5:45PM Honestly. These days no woman needs to stay with a cheating man. Why should a wife be expected to forgive - sometimes repeatedly - in honor of the sanctity of marriage when it is obvious that a cheating man placed no value on the sanctity of that marriage? Our society is still such that a man cheating is no big deal (heck it's par for the course) but if a woman does the same thing even in response to her husband's actions her character is attacked.

Ban the Burqa in the U.S.? Over My (Seldom Worn) Yarmulke (Politics Daily)

Jan 23rd 2010 11:50AM Following 9/11 some Muslims opted to alter their standard attire not to hide but to protect themselves from fools who would have harmed them for merely being Muslim.
