British tour company criticized for offering 'Hitler tour' around Germany (Gadling)

Jan 11th 2011 9:52AM And what will be next.... how about the land of Pol Pot? Stalin's Soviet Archipelago of ice dreams? How about Chairman Mao's travels to remember?
Bad taste is a loss of memory epidemic. Replacing the millions of slaughtered
innocents with clever pseudo-intellectuals debating who was worse or who was next? Evil is the common denominator. Ignorance is the price paid by those who cannot fight the battle alone. God help us all. TerryDould

Denise Richards Invites Charlie and New Boyfriend to Christmas Dinner (PopEater)

Dec 20th 2010 7:18PM What is the big deal? My ex-husband is the father of our two daughters. Most of his family is gone, and just because our marriage did not work out doesn't mean that either he or myself are bad people. We all need to feel wanted and cared about. I will not use my daughters anymore than my ex-husband would use them against me. I never understood why people use children in that way. What does that teach them? to be vindictive & mean? This is not a perfect world, so let's work things out as adult as we can. And remember: don't listen to all the naysayers that are around you. It's your life and your children will make out in the end. TerryDould

David Osmond Fights Back Against MS (AOL Hot Searches)

Oct 28th 2010 9:30AM There are so many different forms of MS that it can be difficult to nail down. Since I have primary progressive MS, most all of the lesions are on my spinal cord and do not show up on an MRI. Within five years after my diagnosis I was using a wheelchair. I know others whose MRIs look like pop corn, and they are still walking around and talking. It can be frustrating at times because you don't know what will happen tomorrow. I guess you have to stick to your guns and stand strong. If possible, shop around for your doctor. Don't let anyone push you around. Ask questions. There are so many websites about MS available to us. All anyone can do is do the best that they can. It is no ones fault that we got this disease. But I will not 'go gentle into that good night'. I love life so very much. TerryDould

US Airways: no solo flights for the disabled (Gadling)

Oct 19th 2010 9:52AM I have MS and I use an electric wheelchair. I realize that there are many difficulties traveling on commercial air flights. However, please do not assume that I am nasty or juvenile or demanding or coddling by nature just because I am in a wheelchair. It isn't the wheelchair that makes someone demanding and nasty by disposition, it is the person themselves. If I were to travel, I would definitely have a traveling companion because of my own insecurities. I could never expect a stranger to take care of me during a crisis; that is for me to consider before booking a reservation on the flight. Please do not assume that I am demanding before you talk to me. You may realize that I am a pretty good person without even considering my wheelchair . TerryDould

Facebook Full of Geezers Over 30 (Switched)

Mar 7th 2009 11:23PM I had no idea I was an old geezer. Thank God I found out now. Gosh, I don't feel like an old geezer. Should I feel like an old geezer? Should I accept the moniker of old geezer as a prize for living beyond the age of 30? No one in my acquaintances ever called me an old geezer. Therefore, I will put my faith in those that know me and decline your kind offer to call me an old geezer. Thanks but no thanks! TerryDould

Barbie Gets Edgy New Makeover (Lemondrop)

Mar 6th 2009 2:26PM I think everyone has a very short memory span. Do you remember growing up Skipper? When you brought her arms forward her breasts grew and when you brought her arms back, so did the breasts. I remember having this particular doll and we all got a kick out of it! Then there was the pseudo-Barbie doll that was pregnant and you could remove the stomach part and there was the baby! Here's one more. Do you remember the advertisement for the figure of Jesus on wheels? A friend of mine lives in Alabama and there are quite a few families that gave it to the children! Taste really is a matter of preference and ‘taste’!

Famous Last Words -- Clever Ways to Say Goodbye Forever (Asylum)

Jan 13th 2009 11:51PM Since I'd love Winnie the Pooh, I think
'Oh Bother' would be appropriate for me!

Anxiety-Sensing Machine Could Spot Terrorists at Security Checkpoints (Gadling)

Sep 25th 2008 10:46AM You've got to be kidding! I have enough anxieties to light up the sky without worrying about passing some boarding anxiety detector! Let's see, did I take my estrogen? How about a couple of Xanax? I understand the necessity of precautionary measures, but what if I had a fight with my daughter or my best friend or coworker? A human beings moods just don't disappear because they must. And worrying about that will cause your anxiety level to increase even more.! No machine can accurately decipher a human being. I hope to God it never can.

Top 8 Bluetooth Headsets for Your Cell Phone (Switched)

Aug 26th 2008 9:38AM Shades of Star Trek! For decades, many people would shrug off and even laugh at the pseudo-technology offered up by innovative science fiction feats like Star Trek. Ever notice the similarity between Bluetooth and what the communications officer would stick in her ear? Take a look at our cell phones and then at the communicators used by members of Star Trek. And our parents called us dreamers were even geeks for enjoying science fiction! Hooray for the geeks! Long live imagination!

Michigan grad designs and builds Homeless Utility Vehicle (Autoblog Green)

Aug 23rd 2008 3:43AM With all of the empty high rise buildings located in every city all over this nation, we could take that idea and expand upon it. Instead of building shelters have about using these existing 'dinosaurs', and refit them for homeless and the families that are dispossessed by our over eager economic blunders. We each of us are responsible for ourselves but we are also not alone in this world. During the winter here in New England, my thoughts always wonder about those people who are huddled over fires burning in metal drums. There's so much untapped resources out there, is it truly the real estate developers who are holding out for another economic boom to fill their vacant high-rises? Was it not Teddy Roosevelt who said“ do what you can, with what you have, where you are”? Just something to think about. I guess I still see the world and the people around me with rose colored glasses. But I have high hopes.
