Have Your Coffee at Home (AOL Hot Searches)
Jan 23rd 2009 1:19PM Look, folks, the secret to good coffee is use the freshest beans; I don't mean a "Use by date" on the bag. Get coffee from a source that prints on the bag, "Roasted on xxx". Grind what you need just before you brew. If you want real homemade coffee that is the least expensive brew that is exactly what you like, do as our grandparents and great grand did. ROAST YOUR OWN BEANS! You can make the process simple (and cheap-I've used an old hotair popcorn popper) or complex (and more expensive-I now roast a pound by turbocrazy process) but roasting only takes 8-10 min. for pot coffee; 11-15 for espresso roast. Buy a good grinder that meets your needs (espresso requires a very good grinder). Get on the net, search coffee, and you will find sites as "CoffeeGeek", "SweetMarias", "Home-Barista", "Lucidcafe", etc. that will school you about coffee, green beans, how to brew it, machines and all sorts of equipment for different pocketbooks before you spend your money.
Thief Steals GPS Unit, Gets Busted When Police Hit 'Home' Button (Switched)
Jan 25th 2008 10:18AM Just a suggestion for your GPS. Don't use your exact home address for your "home" button. Smarter thieves or their accomplices (parking valets for example) can use your home button to get a map to your address while you're away from home for a fixed amount of time (say dinner, office appt. etc.).

Let's get to 1k followers. What do you like best? Ambiguous laments about my personal life, snide cultural commentary, or, you know, fashun?
