ESPN Anchor Dana Jacobson May Be Anti- Notre Dame, But She's Not Anti-Catholic (Fanhouse Backporch)
Jan 23rd 2008 10:50PM All you clowns claiming freedom of speech. Pull your heads out! First of all...have you ever heard of libel or slander. Those are forms of speech. Is there freedom to libel or slander? Absolutely not. If you think you can say anything to anyone at anytime and that represents freedom of speech you need to go back to 5th grade and start learning about how this country was set up. Go threaten the president and see how long your FOS rant lasts. Secondly, Dana Jacobson isn't going to jail or prison. There are no court hearings. She is being reprimanded by her employer which ESPN has every right to do. Big Whoop!
Finally, I have no doubt if her comments had been F*** Martin Luther King or F***Hillary Clinton that many of you giving a free pass on Jesus would be up in arms...roast or no roast. Your hypocrisy is crystal clear.
Student's Snow-Day Question Causes Internet Brouhaha (Switched)
Jan 23rd 2008 9:10PM I see no winners here. A bunch of bad behavior regardless of generation. Do they normally shut schools down in Virginia if it snows? Calling a personal residence was unwarranted...the tirade and namecalling was unwarranted...making a mockery of this person on the internet is unwarranted. Who wins? I guess the voyeurs getting their jollies at someone else's expense.
