Was Michigan Teacher Wrong to Eject Students for Anti-Gay Remarks? (ParentDish)

Nov 18th 2010 3:05AM it's funny all these people who say homosexuality isn't natural when 30 percent of animal species have gay members of it's species. That only leaves the argument of whether it's moral or not. What decides whether it's not natural or not, the bible? Well the bible also says if your child is disrespectful then you are to take that child to the elders and then the child is to be stoned until he or she is dead. The bible also says that there is a proper way to sell your daughter into slavery (read Exodus). And in the New Testament Paul wrote that a woman is not to speak in church, that it's immoral for a woman to say anything in church. If she has any questions then she is to ask her husband once she arrives back home. Shall we take the bible at face value and start stoning children?!?! I find if very telling that the most important man in the universe according to the bible, Jesus, not once mentions anything about homosexuality. If it's this end the world type of sin as southerners and Baptists will have you believe then why not one word condemning it from the SON OF GOD?!?! You right wing hypocrites will never understand this post.

Recession erodes Social Security and Medicare trust funds (Daily Finance)

May 15th 2009 12:17PM It would only take one thing to make Social Security solvent. All you would have to do is raise the cap on taxes from taxing the first 90k of earnings to 120k. That would eliminate all the SS problems but no one wants to talk about that. I'm sorry but it's either that or turn the system over to the wolves in Wall Street. How would you have liked your SS money to be all invested when the crash hit. Think Mcfly Think...

GM's Bob Lutz: Global warming is a "total crock of sh*t" (Autoblog Green)

Feb 15th 2008 9:27AM People are right. Global warming is a theory. Gravity is a theory too and has yet to be proven. People still believe the earth is flat too. Some people still believe the sun revolves around the earth. Oh, one last thing rates of warming on mars are far less. Most scientists pushing the "sun" warming theory have been proven to be on oil execs payrolls.

Wal-Mart markets "back to college" condoms (ParentDish)

Jun 18th 2007 6:37PM There's nothing wrong with a store doing this, nothing at all. Here's where the problem lies. It's a ploy to make walmart appeal to younger people. If you have any knowledge about walmart factories in China where they work their workers 14 hours a day for 7 days a week and their workers are instructed to say how nice it is and how well they're treated you'd realize they just want a good light on them or even a negative light. Just anything but to light the real situation.

Earth-Friendly Tech (Switched)

Apr 20th 2007 6:35AM To those who comment that power plants put out more pollution than cars you're correct. One problem with your analogy, the numbers don't add up. Plenty of sites have done the math and the pollution per mile of an electric car compared to a gas operated car is way way less. Number one we should be much closer to alternative energy but since we aren't here are some of the numbers: Many EVs critics point out that charging thousands of EVs from aging coal plants will increase greenhouse gases such as CO2 significantly. Although half the country uses coal-fired plants, EVs recharging from these facilities are predicted to produce less CO2 than ICE vehicles. According to the World Resources Institute, EVs recharging from coal-fired plants will reduce CO2 emissions in the country from 17 to 22 percent.

In the Autoblog Driveway: 2003 VW Jetta SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) (Autoblog)

May 24th 2006 9:56PM I personally own a greasecar system in my suburban. I can vouch for the increased power and reliability. Just make sure to change your filters. My problem is that I've had to run off of straight veggie oil because here in North Carolina where I live Carolina Byproducts contracts with all the restaurants for their old grease so not even the mom and pop restaurants will let me have any. Make sure you check before you do what I did.
