May 16th 2008 8:43PM AGING model?? For God's sake, the woman is only 37! 37 is hardly old! Proof positive that our society is prejudiced against women and obsessed with youth.
You don't hear Harrison Ford labeled as "aging", do you? And yet he's doing ANOTHER Indiana Jones film. You don't hear remarks about Sean Connery, do you? Yet he's quite an action star still.

rape is the most overrated crime there is. im sick of hearing people make such a big deal out of it. the guy should've been given a trophy for getting his first rape in when he was 17.

Scum like you should spend life in prison.

He was not convicted of statutory rape he was convicted of rape. Look him up on his state's department of rehab and corrections website. He was 17 and she was 15. It was forced sexual intercourse, not touching, he physically penetrated her scarring her for life. Part of his punishement along with prison is to be registered as a sexual offender, he has not paid completely for his crime, doing time was just part of it. The young girl will continue to deal with the memories, this is just part of his continuing punishment. If it was your child or sister you would agree...

I can't believe that ANYONE here is condoning what he did...but they are. And they claim to be women, too. I don't believe any of it.

yes, she probably would still be suffering if it wasnt consensual. But given the ages of each of the parties involved i really highly doubt that it wasnt consensual. Again she was probably scared of what her parents would think/do/say so she told them she was raped to avoid the consequences.

Lying about rape isn't all that common, honey. Look at the statistics. Just because they were young doesn't mean jack...violent rapes happen at every age. I don't think you can assume that this was consensual sex. It said he was convicted of rape, NOT statutory rape. Open your eyes.

The article does NOT clarify if it was forcible or statutory rape. The point is the man served his time, and has not re-offended in 18 years. Are they going to run background checks on every one coming in the door? What other people should be banned from children's activities? What if there is a child abuser sitting next to you or a murderer? You would never know.
-----------------------------------------
Are you for real? How do you KNOW that he hasn't re-offended? Once a rapist, always a rapist...according to statistics. Therefore, it's more likely that he HAS re-offended and that we just don't know about it.

Most 17 year olds have made a similar error in judgment??? No... a 17 year old error in judgement would be something like... taking out the family car without permission. Staying up all night at a party or playing halo rather than studying for midterms, even getting pregnant because no one thought about birth control.
Raping someone is not an error in judgement.

True! Merely serving five years in prison doesn't mean much. I guarantee that woman is still suffering from the rape, even almost twenty years later.

My wife and I supported John McSame in the primairies back in 2000 with money and vocal support. When he was slimed by the party "faithful team" and little bush won the nomination we urged him to become a Democrat with phone calls to his headquarters.
Now and in 2004 he turned into a bush ass kisser and will say anything to anyone to get elected when he is too dam old and a lying oil/ war profiteer like bush to boot.
When Jenna and her Rove inspired husband have chldren they will be born with cloven hooves, horns and dripping in oil.
Thats how the R party is.Hooray for Ron Paul.

Good for you! At least SOME Republicans see McSame for what he REALLY is!

May 10th 2008 4:24AM Actually, Mario, if you take a look at all the famous sexuality surveys...it is the men who are far more focused on their partner's looks. Just a wild guess...has some woman burned you recently?
