Texas' Buck Burnette Learns Why Racist Obama Facebook Updates Are Dumb (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)
Nov 6th 2008 11:58PM I for one never called for Bush to be "hunted down"; Cheney, yeah, but then you know he'd have a fighting chance!
Saving money on coffee just like Grandpa: Folgers targets broke coffee drinkers (WalletPop)
Sep 21st 2008 12:27PM If you have the time and dedication to grind and brew your own at home, I really recommend COSTCO's "Organic Rainforest Blend"; in a 3 lb. bag it runs to about 3 bucks a pound, has a rich, dark, complex flavor and is just the ticket for a "budget" espresso or latte to jumpstart my day! (Loaded the night before, it's a one-button morning ritual.)
Battle of the Brands: Subway vs. Quiznos (BloggingStocks)
Apr 30th 2008 8:31AM I've gotta say, I would NEVER pass up a Quizno's to go to a Subway; Q's has great promotional selections, their standard fare is far superior in filling quantity (Subway is too often like a bread sandwich), I like their condiment (read: hot peppers and sauce choices) bar, and toasted is just plain tastier....which is probably why Subway finally started offering a toasted option. Try any of Quizno's prime rib offerings...Yum! This new "Sammies" thing will go away soon...two bucks for three bites!?!, but their standard sizes are a great value.
Hot Seat: Candidate Reality Check (Politics Daily)
Mar 16th 2008 9:10PM Reading the moronic postings here and elsewhere this election season, I feel I finally have proof that we do indeed get the government we deserve...so long as all you TOTAL WHACK JOBS continue to have an inborn right to vote, we're sure to get the least controversial, least qualified, lowest common denominator elected every time. Anyone want to stand with me to demand that our teens pass a basic LITERACY and SANITY and CIVICS test before we hand out voting rights? Who knows, we might yet achieve the representative government elected by the INFORMED ELECTORATE that our Founding Fathers envisioned.
Oh, and HARV? Feel LUCKY to be born "white" and American, not PROUD; you didn't earn it, and you don't deserve it.

Bush to Congress: Get a Move On (Politics Daily)
Mar 2nd 2008 4:18PM Yeah, Joe-the-only-REAL-American, you tell 'em! Now that the Democrats have (titular) control of Congress, even if they don't have a voting majority, or anything like enough votes to overturn one of Dumbya's (rare) vetoes, you'd think they'd be making progress! It must be THEIR fault that the first six years of this ordeal left us trillions in the hole, that earmarks quadrupled, or that billions went "missing" through the lax oversight in Iraq. Stupid Democrats!
Video of the Day: Minor League Hockey Team Trashes Historic Hotel (Fanhouse NHL Blog)
Feb 19th 2008 8:57AM The best outcome would seem to me to be toss them in the can long enough to teach them the construction skills necessary to rebuild this historic hotel; everybody saying "sue the idiots!" apparently missed the fact that they're out of work and soon to be, if not already broke! Work it off, boys! Learning a trade may stand you well in your search for a REAL job!
Pennsylvania Law Forces eBay Auctioneers to Get a License (Switched)
Feb 1st 2008 1:40PM Don't know about Pennsy and its tax stance in general, but the issue here is that the people needing a license are working as AGENTS for others; this doesn't impact your selling off Grandma's estate or those old LPs you thought you'd listen to...I tend to think that another layer of accountability is a good thing! If the seller lists a state license # on the auction, it gives you some recourse other than a negative feedback.
I've only been totally ripped off a couple times on eBay, but what do you do when a seller takes money for nothing, is anonymous and in another state? At least with a license, you could report them to their state boards.
Crowd-monitoring humanoid helps lost mall patrons, likely freaks them out (Engadget)
Jan 30th 2008 1:55PM Josh, Josh, josh...If you feel yourself to be a termite, ant or some other hive-dwelling drone, then you're welcome to the future you're helping to craft. I, for one, will continue to sound the clarion "alarm" against invasive monitoring by governments and corporations alike. Being in "public" does not excuse your being watched constantly and having your every observed act saved to permanent record. Data-mining, facial recognition, CCTV: all of these need to be regulated temselves, instead of business interests and spooks being given a free rein to try any new technology they can think up to keep us in our assigned seats. Free your mind, little man!
