George Lopez & Conan O'Brien Are Making History Together Tomorrow! (Celestrellas)

Jun 9th 2011 3:40PM I didn't read the comments before I replied, but I just said almost the exact same thing you did. Great minds think alike!

George Lopez & Conan O'Brien Are Making History Together Tomorrow! (Celestrellas)

Jun 9th 2011 3:39PM Why is Lopez called "the Mexican-American" and Conan is called Conan? Shouldn't Conan be called "the Irish-American"? Or should George simply have been called George?

Patti LaBelle Sued Over Airport Attack (BV Newswire)

Jun 7th 2011 1:39AM This is just despicable! Patti LaBelle is a has-been who is re-living her glory days by rehashing her few good songs from before over and over again. She is not so special that her clothing in suitcases needs to be protected at all costs... to the point of giving a young man possibly life-long health problems. To sit and watch while 3 HUGE men attack this skinny young man, while others in her entourage watch and laugh just makes me sick. I rarely comment on things like this, nor do I approve of most lawsuits filed by paparazzi against celebs or other lawsuits of a frivolous nature, but this guy has a good case and I hope he wins. She should be so ashamed of herself... but no, then she stands there and takes a picture with the cop as if she's above it all. I'm so disgusted.

JCPenney's New Logo Goes for Fun and Young (WalletPop)

Feb 25th 2011 10:14PM I don't shop at JC Penney and their flyers that arrive with my Sunday newspaper go straight into the recycle bin. Why? I don't shop anywhere that advertises Columbus Day sales. Columbus was a land-stealing, slave-trading, murderer whose genocidal policies almost decimated the Taino people of the Caribbean. He is no hero and with 17 states refusing to honor this murderer, the days when ignoramuses who don't know history and still think this bastard is worthy of a holiday, are numbered. Columbus Day is the ONLY disputed federal holiday. There was a time when Arizona, led by John McCain was the only state to abstain from celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but they finally jumped onboard. On the other hand, where once all 50 states celebrated Columbus day, now only 37 do... it's slow progress, but it's progress. When JC Penney no longer honors Columbus by holding sales in his honor and memory, maybe I'll shop there again, but until then... don't be surprised if you don't see many native people in JC Penney.

Women Under 30 Losing 'Lady Skills' Like Cooking and Cleaning (MyDaily)

Feb 8th 2011 9:42AM 12 years ago, we decided that I would stay home with the kids and my husband would support the family. This meant LOTS of changes. I talked to my mom about it and she told me that when we were growing up and she stayed home with us, as most moms did, they only had one TV, one car, she went to the grocery store on Saturday and cooked 7 nights a week and we never had expensive snack foods (Doritos, Twinkies, Oreos, Fruit Roll-ups and other junk like these) but rather had apples and oranges for snacks and no sugary cereals for breakfast, but oatmeal or toast & eggs. We were healthier and spent less. She taught us all (boys & girls to cook). After talking to her I realized there were a LOT of areas I could make cuts and changes. It's been 12 years... my husband still makes the same salary (with modest adjustments for inflation) and we've found our changes have brought us closer (we have homemade dinner at the table every night), the kids pitch in with chores and then do homework, a little TV and off to bed. It's a very old, time-tested formula and the reason it's still around is that it works for so many people and raises responsible children of both sexes who can manage a wide variety of life skills. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

Resilient Steelers Look Like Team to Beat in Super Bowl XLV (Fanhouse - Kevin Blackistone)

Jan 24th 2011 9:37AM I can't stand the Pittsburgh STEAL-ers ever since they cheated & stole the Super Bowl from the Seattle Seahawks in 2006. I will root for any team but them. They are my LEAST favorite team in the NFL. It's sad that two GREAT players like Palamalu and Ward are on a team that cheaps with a rapist at the helm. Go Packers!

TV Ads For Viva, Scott Paper Towels 'Disparaging' to Bounty (WalletPop)

Jan 13th 2011 10:57AM Maybe I'm an aberration, but if a television or radio commercial has to insult another person, program or product to promote their own... I don't use it. Show me why YOUR product is great...but don't degrade another to do it.

Travolta and Preston Gearing Up for 'Silent Birth' (PopEater)

Dec 20th 2010 4:18AM Jinries: I never addressed the issue of talking to your baby or the statement the article made about how Scientologists don't speak to their child for 7 days. I was only saying that our subconsciousness retains all information throughout our existence, including how we 'felt' at the time. Go ahead, call me a moron, but if you read my post and yours, I am the one who can spell and make sentences. And, my children are all wonderful, well-adjusted, productive, tax-paying citizens, thank you very much.

Five Reasons Why 'The Apprentice' Needs to Retire (AOL TV)

Dec 11th 2010 3:26PM When Donald Trump slammed Rosie O'Donnell, YEARS after their feud, I realized that he's a very petty person and I don't want to feed off that kind of energy, so I stopped watching his show.
