Should Hunting Be Allowed In America's National Parks? (Gadling)

May 31st 2012 8:16PM This article was obviously written by a bunny-hugger with a liberal agenda.

Yes...., hunting should be allowed and regulated in national and state parks.
I grew up near a state park that was part of the Allegheny National Forest.
The white-tailed deer were so inbred, overpopulated, and overgrazed that their growth was stunted and they had ears the size of a woodchuck. (For you bunny-hugging city folks, that's a groundhog.)

As other posters have stated, hunting is an extremely safe sport.
Even the Dick Cheney incident was avoidable if his hunting buddy had announced his presence.

Dove, quail, rabbit, duck, deer, and elk hunting normally occurs in the fall and winter when kids are in school and their parents are at work.
The "blaze-orange" requirement may have reduced hunting accidents, but you cannot legislate "stupid".
Why is this a Congressional issue and not left up to the Department of the Interior?
Does Congress not have 3 or 4 wars to worry about?
Hell...., lets throw in MLB steriods, or NFL helmets, and give the US Congress something really serious to contemplate.

May the good lord help us all and pay our taxes.

Should Hunting Be Allowed In America's National Parks? (Gadling)

May 31st 2012 6:54PM To Scott:

Are you really an idiot or are you just attempting to appear that way?

I'm 58 yo and have been hunting since I was 12 yo.
I have never shot any animal that I didn't eat. (Well...., maybe an occasional opossum.)
Often, I have carried out trash that was left behind by the "greenies" and tree-huggers. (Hunters don't normally pack in Skittles and diet sodas.)

Get out of your city condo, get the facts, and get a life.

Bones in the Attic: Mysterious Find in Historic Home (AOL Real Estate)

Jan 20th 2012 5:51AM If the house was built in 1750, how could the bones have been in the house for 800 years?

'White Only' Pool Sign 'Decorative,' Landlord Claims (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 19th 2011 2:54PM To Echoo:

It doesn't matter what the sign says.
If the woman, as a private property, owner owns the pool, it is a private pool.
She rents out the duplexes and, depending on the wording of the leases, she can allow or deny anyone she wants to use the pool.

She could hang a sign that said "Rollercoaster".
Does the sign make it so?
NO.

HOA Forces Family to Remove Disabled Child's 'Therapy Home' (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 16th 2011 7:39PM Someone, or several people, need to start kickin' ass and taking names at the next HOA board meeting.
These people are idiots to enforce their rule and hurt this poor little boy.
Life for him is already tough enough.
He doesn't need/deserve their crap.

BTW - Does their rule also apply to swimming pool cabanas, gazebos, and children's playscapes?
How about rose trellises and dog houses?
Do they have mail boxes?
And..., what of brick/rock bar-b-que grills and smokers?
These are all "unattached structures".

Vacant House Targeted by Squatters, Scammers and Thieves (AOL Real Estate)

Nov 12th 2011 4:20PM I agree with many of your comments.

The president and US Congress screwed up when they paid banks millios/billions of dollars in bailouts.

That money should have gone to people who were losing their homes.
The money would have gone to the banks, so they would have been in just as good of a financial position. (plus the freakin' interest)

People and the media seem to forget that part of the story.

Vacant House Yields Late Owner's Stash of Cash (AOL Real Estate)

Nov 9th 2011 5:20PM Why was a plumber looking in an air duct?
Is he as honest as he claims and this article purports?
Had he heard about hidden money and was just snooping?
Was there actually $40K in the duct and he turned in $20K?

Yes...., I am an incurable cynic, but through experience, I have come to trust very few people.
It is sad, but I have opened my heart and home to others and have been burned too many times.

Aug 31st 2011 12:50AM So...., what is your point?

Are you just trying to sound important because you know someone who knows someone who knows Dennis Wever?
And..., why should I care?
