Nov 27th 2009 8:42AM I thought long and hard about a name that would not garner any rude or unappealing knick names and I also thought about family names...Why should you name your new child after a family member? Yes it could be seen as an honour but it could also be such a pain for the child in the future with a "jr" or "III"(third). Insurance/medical paperwork become a nightmare when there are identical names(ask my father, he's named for his father)...Doesn't the new life deserve his/her own name?
Think about it before you name your new child, they will adopt a knick name if they "hate" their given name, if you don't like the knick name that traditionally goes with the name you like...rethink it.

Why can't people just accept that rotten behavior is not what we eat, but lack of dicipline as a child. Correct your little monsters! Make them realize that there are consequences for their bad behavior.
It is not up to anyone else to see that your child behaves and does what is morally right. People who have rotten kids have never made them mind! They have come up with a lot of excuses for why "little johnny" misbehaves, and most of all they try to blame society for that childs rotten behavior.
Step up folks, only YOU can correct your childs behavior and if you fail to do so you deserve what you get. Maybe you too should be held accountable for the behaviors that get your kid in trouble.

I can tell you why kids today are so angry and violent -They have never been made to show respect to anyone or anything, they have no responsbilities, they are not held accountable.
I know lots of folks who say it's just easier to do it yourself rather than "fight" with your kid. I'm in my 40's I have a soon to be 18 year old son and he is very respectful, kind, and respectable young man. He has never been in trouble with the law, He was taught at a very young age that there are repercussions from everything we do good or bad.
I truly wish more parents felt like me and would guide their children to being a respectable member of society. People, give your kids chores, give them something to accomplish, when they accomplish it give them praise not money or "stuff" If they fail to do what is explain to them the consequences and stick to them! Don't let your kids rule you, it is your job to teach them how to be an responsible adult, not the schools, not the churches, it's yours, you made the choice to bring them into the world.

May 26th 2009 6:06AM All of the CD's you buy from wal-mart are sanitized for us, you cannot buy an "un-edited verion" in our store.
I have refused to buy from wal-mart for that fact alone! If I want to hear a band say F@%&!!! then I'm an adult and I shouldn't have to buy a "sanitized for my protection" version of the cd.

How many kids today who do not get the discipline they need become rotten little bastards in trouble with the law? My former neighbors are a prime example, 3 of their 4 sons ended up in trouble with the law, she didn't believe in spanking!
You will reap what you sow, Teach your children right from wrong, they're your kids, and it shouldn't be someone elses responsibility to teach your children the acceptable way to behave in public!

Oct 17th 2008 5:58PM what they fail to tell you is that the shoes by wal mart are crappy and not even worth the $19.99 they charge, for some odd reason they have a velvety type fabric on the bottoms that would wear off with time I suppose, if you didn't break your neck first!
I think they have a right to design any type shoe they want but atleast make them safe!
