I appreciate what you say about differentiating between "true believers' but I think that you are being naive. What about Pat Robertson's predictions about 2008? Is he not a "true believer" as you would define one? I would think so. And he claims that God talked to him about 2008. Talked to him. Talked. To him. That doesn't sound like a fanatic to you? With maybe a couple of screws loose?
