'Skyline' Review: When Aliens Attack ... Eventually (Moviefone Blog)
Nov 13th 2010 8:14PM Whatan awful movie. The lame dialogue in the beginning was my clue. This was a rip off of "Cloverfield," which was a great suspenseful thriller, and even "War of the Worlds." I stopped watching "The Event" because they were going back 5 minutes or two days or three months. I lost track and interest. Skyline was a waste of $6.25 and I bring my own food. Yes, the special effects were good but when they transplanted the good brain of Balfour into one of the monsters and he went after the bad guys, that was it for me. Plus, the idiots who have to be on their cell phones made it all the worse. Don't go to this movie!!!!
America's Most Stolen Products (WalletPop)
Oct 14th 2010 6:44PM I run a department in a big home improvement store. The theft is unbelievable. I find empty packages everywhere: batteries, knives, flashlights, nuts, bolts and screws, small power screwdrivers, etc. Some customers have stolen torque wrenches and put them down their pants which gives rise to "Is that a torque wrench in your pants or are you happy to see me." I'm not chasing them out the door because it's against our policy and not worth it but it galls me. The retail clothing store down the street will chase shoplifters right out the door and prosecute for anything. I've given one nut to a cistomer if they need it but sometimes they'll steal a knife to cut open other packages. I say catch them and put them in the stocks in the town square.
I Quit My Sorority Because They Accused Me of Being Anorexic (Lemondrop)
Mar 19th 2010 7:02AM Soroties and fraternities are just prides of lions and lionesses. You're like unions. You have to fit in and support the team no matter what. Why be cloistered with conformists when a random smattering of friends from various classes at colleges and universities would give more diverse opinions and ideas.
Good article, though, but no one will pay attention to your advice because new kids in college want to fit in, like a security blanket. But, it's just another rite of passage.
Undercover Boss Builds White Castle (AOL Jobs)
Mar 1st 2010 9:00PM I work at a Home Depot in Massachusetts and love my job. I wish Marvin or Frank would come to our store. I've never worked so hard in my life. It's rumored our RVP has come in disguise.
New 'Jurassic Park' Trilogy on the Way (Moviefone Blog)
Jan 23rd 2010 7:01AM Yes, more Jurassic Park. Yes, Cambrian explosion. Yes, cretaceous. I want a sequel to Cloverfield. Three more Star Wars like they originally promised.
France's Proposed Burqa Ban: Why Americans Might Want to Consider It Too (Politics Daily)
Jan 22nd 2010 7:27AM Hi. I appreciate your comment but I think the thing is hiding your identity. I can see your face if you wear a habit but you could be anyone under a burqa. I work retail and Muslim women, great customers, wear their scarves. Wear a ski mask or burqa and we're on alert.
France's Proposed Burqa Ban: Why Americans Might Want to Consider It Too (Politics Daily)
Jan 22nd 2010 7:24AM Here's another aspect. You can't wear a ski mask when entering a bank or any other financial institution. I don't think the CIA or FBI would allow a ski mask there either. In fact, no retail store or factory would allow ski masks to be worn by employees or customers. Wear a ski mask into a 7-11 or Cumberland farms or White Hen or Store 24 and see how fast someone tries to protect their property.
Obama Makes Last Minute Pitch for Coakley in Mass. Senate Race (Politics Daily)
Jan 17th 2010 9:00PM I am so disgusted with the underhanded misrepresentations of Scott Brown by Marth Coakley. She so distorted his record, created unfair depictions and and carefully hid the fact she will be voting for a 40% tax on Cadillac health plans. Oh, by the way, isn't she in lock step with Washington Democrats? We need someone with integrity and that is Scott Brown. Vote Republican!!
Timing of Tiger's Hiatus Bad for Golf (Fanhouse Golf Blog)
Dec 12th 2009 3:16PM Wait a minute! I don't understand something. Tiger Woods has inappropriate relationships with every manner of woman, not, I'm sure, thinking about his marriage while he's doing this, and now he wants time to repair his marriage. What did he care for years with Elin thinking what a great guy, spending all that time with his buddies or alone. This is hypocrisy at its highest. He's a creature of habit and this is all a dog and pony show. And Elin; she's not blameless here. Why isn't she just moving out and moving on. These kids don't need a father like him. Jenny Sanford had the courage to dump her idiot of a husband. Elin garners alot of integrity if she dumps Tiger.
What Tiger Inc. needs to do to save a $100 million-a-year empire (Daily Finance)
Dec 10th 2009 7:10AM Peter Cohan has it all wrong. The suggestions for Tiger Woods to start the money machine rolling again is so far off target that he forgets there are other solid men and women out there to shill for products and services. There's always, as they used to say in the Old West, a faster gun. There are other scandal free (as far as we know) celebrities who are believable and have integrity. Dump Woods and let's stop this phony contrition tour on Oprah, et al. And finally, Elin should have the nuts to dump Tiger and move on. Too many women stand by their man. He didn't stand by her. Jenny Sanford had it right. Elin can put the coup de grace on this poor excuse for a role model. Buick, AMEX and the rest of you; have some balls.
