Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier sold for $34 million (Gadling)

Jan 15th 2011 12:45AM You are referring to the old Pacific Ocean Park, which was on a pier south of Santa Monica and closed and has been torn down. The amusement park on Santa Monica pier is of newer vintage.

Burger King's Jalapeno & Cheese Stuffed Steakhouse Burger Review (Slashfood)

Jan 13th 2011 6:06AM Oy. I had one of these and it tasted like burnt rubber. I think the exposure of cheese in the mix at the edges to the flame broiling creates harmful hydrocarbons. Stay away.

After another incident: Is the Carnival Splendor cursed? (Gadling)

Nov 11th 2010 2:06AM Yes, the larger the population the greater the chances for rare sickness incidents to occur, and a cruise ship has a high population density to begin with. Not sure about the engine fire, though, probably unlucky . .

Alberto Contador Tests Positive for Clenbuterol, Latest Tour Title in Doubt (Fanhouse Main)

Sep 30th 2010 12:50AM Clenbuterol is often fed to animals, and can transfer in the meat. Best to await final judgement on this one, Alberto can probably clear his name.

Beijing tackles trash stench with 100 deodorant guns (Gadling)

Apr 5th 2010 10:39PM Actually many dumps in the U.S. use these. Perfume often comes in 55-gallon drums, and various scents are available. The spray unit looks like a snow making gun. I'm sure someone over here sold them one (that's all we can ever sell--after that they make more themselves).

Undercover Boss Builds White Castle (AOL Jobs)

Mar 1st 2010 10:37PM My 17-year old son and I were very disappointed in WC when we went to one in Columbus OH. We are from CA and don't have them out here. I think the McDouble is a better value--the sliders are now 70 cents or so, and much smaller. I did try the pulled pork sandwich, which I liked better.

Meet Kyla Weber: Vince Vaughn's New Wife (PopEater)

Jan 5th 2010 6:21PM He kisses her between the strikes, she kisses him between the balls . . (Thanks Soupy Sales)
