Sarah Palin Attacked My High School -- Here's Why She's Wrong (Lemondrop)
May 21st 2010 12:43AM this young woman's arguments are well thought out and articulated...if i was one of her parents i would be so proud of her...they are doing an amazing job and it would be so great if everyone taught their children to be aware of what is really happening in the world and form their own opinions instead of parroting words that have no real meaning...our world, because believe or not we do share it with other human beings, would be a better place.
The Doggie Diaries: At the Dog Park, Part 1 -- The Brawl (Pawnation OLD)
Mar 14th 2010 8:00PM Well in defense of the pit bull, it must have been a very nice one not to fight back. The owner of the other dog seems to have the pit bull tendencies not the dog.
Rush Limbaugh on Arlen Specter: Take John and Meghan McCain with You! (Politics Daily)
Apr 30th 2009 1:42AM As a Democrat I welcome senator Specter and would welcome senator McCain if he felt the Republican party no longer fit him. I think there is room for all, liberal and conservative in the Democrat party, I personally have a lot of conservative views but I don't fit as a Republican because there's so much anger and fear in that party and I don't want any of that to define my politics. I prefer the Democrat party mainly because of their acceptance of all point of views.
Benicio Del Toro to Play Bret Easton Ellis? (Cinematical)
Apr 28th 2009 4:44PM All I want to do is look at Benicio...lol It doesn't matter what he's in, he always makes it better!
Can You Be Too Fat to Work? (Asylum)
Mar 21st 2009 10:59PM I work with lots of morbidly obese people, I'm talking weigh more then 350 lbs, and most of them make more money then I do and I make plenty. Not one of them qualifies for welfare, they can barely walk and they get special treatment usually reserved for the handicapped, but they work, so if they can work, so can other morbidly obese people.
Erin Brockovich's Daughter Blames Mom for Addiction (ParentDish)
Feb 5th 2009 11:22PM I have a 13 year old daughter, I'm a single parent and work constantly. I do everything I can to provide a beautiful home she can bring her friends to, healthy food to eat and lots of beautiful clothes. We don't get child support so I expect my 13 year old daughter to respect my hard work by helping around the house and getting her homework done before I get home because I do get home very late at night. Yes if she did drugs I would be very upset but not so much because they are "bad" for her, even though that's true, but more because everything I do is for her. It's about love and respect for us, if she loves me she will respect herself. I think Ms. Brockovich's daughter doesn't really love her mother otherwise she would respect how hard her mother worked by taking care of herself. I saw the movie too and imho her mother loves her dearly. She did everything she could to make sure they had everything they needed and if she was gone, well as single mother that's what you have to do. Why doesn't she blame her father? Where was he?
Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes Take Separate Planes (ParentDish)
Jan 27th 2009 11:40PM I don't think it's weird at all. I love my children and wouldn't want to leave them alone. By the way if you're taking separate planes, you're probably arriving at different times, so you would probably take separate cars. Just saying...
Microsoft offers reward for missing boy (ParentDish)
Nov 1st 2008 8:09PM I can understand how this parent feels, my kids are addicted to video games and x-box live too. The only difference here is that I have them do their chores first as well as have to keep their grades up, or no x-box, which up to now has been a really good way to have all that done without too much trouble on my part.
Target to open fashion stores in Manhattan (BloggingStocks)
Sep 3rd 2008 11:31PM I've always enjoyed going to Target and have never liked going to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has poor service and whenever I walk in there I feel as if they are slopping hogs. The produce isn't any good and guess what? The prices aren't that cheap either. I've shopped at Target and found lots of the same things are less expensive at there. I don't shop at Wal-Mart anymore, no service, inferior products and bad food in this economy isn't a good deal.
Why Is This Atheist So Smug? (News Bloggers)
Sep 27th 2007 11:07AM You cannot expect an atheist to believe in God because God doesn't operate by the wisdom of the world. In the 1st letter to the Corinthians, Paul says that God makes foolish the wisdom of the world and that the world through it's wisdom does not know him. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
Atheists are too wise and much too worldly to believe in God and in their wisdom they become the foolish ones. How do I know that? Because Paul tells the Christians in Rome "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." No matter how intelligent you think you are, there is no excuse for not believing. Of course, and we've all known this type of person, there are people so smart they don't know anything. Personally, I'd rather be a fool for God, then a fool for nothing.
