What Kind of Pats Hater Are You? {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jan 27th 2008 9:28AM My first post didn't go through, so let's see if this one does. I'm not a Pats fan, never have been. I don't hate nor like them any better just because of their scoring record this year. I have my favorites and my non-favorites. I have no feeling for the Patriots, never have had. I have had my favorites in Super Bowls (teams I already liked), and the Patriots are not one of them. I disagree with the poster who said that Tom Brady is
becoming the best QB of all time. There are records he will NEVER catch up to, and at least one current QB he will NEVER be as fun to watch nor loved. Think about it. I want the Giants to win, because the Giants play cleaner; they overcame a rough season; I feel, and have always felt, more fondly about them in general; and they play with more heart. Go Giants!
Can you catch obesity? {That's Fit}
Jan 27th 2008 7:57AM It's what you eat, and everything in moderation. As far as drugs and pills that someone mentioned, I'm very, very old-fashioned in my self-maintenance methods. I stay far away from the modern pills, and I only take aspirin when I have an extremely severe headache, which is very, very rare. The only "pill" I take is a multiple vitamin, and only in weather changes. I don't take any of the modern cold medicines whatsoever. Vicks and steam, hot tea when I have a cold. The old-fashioned way worked for me when I was a tiny tot, and it still works for me today. I hope I never get into the pill-popping mode that modern society seems to have gotten into. Just eat healthy, and everything in moderation, wrap up in warm enough clothing in inclement weather, etc. It's all just plain common sense.
Toyota's New Eyelid-Monitoring System Wakes Up Sleepy Drivers {Switched.com}
Jan 26th 2008 8:53AM I don't know how it would be able to determine when to hit the brakes, another car might hit it in the back end. However, I applaud every little effort of auto improvement where safer driving is the focus. At least this shows that innovators are trying. I fantasize about cars, one day, as being far advanced beyond our current imagination, where driving will be much safer. That is one of my dreams, but I'm not a mechanic nor scientist, so I'm leaving it up to those brilliant innovators out there and keeping my fingers crossed that they will keep working on it.
We All Fall Down: No. 11 {AOL Video Blog}
Jan 24th 2008 1:47PM So freaking what? I've fallen in the snow so many times up north here, where there is REAL snow, and yes, you see people falling in the snow all the time up here. So, was that supposed to be some kind of a "first" or something--falling in the snow? Anyway, regardless of my sarcastic comment, I really am a Renee Zellweger fan; so I'm only laughing at (ahem "videologist") Tonka, for looking so desperate for work. Does she actually get paid for such reporting?
Car Secrets: Which Side Is the Gas Tank On? {AOL Video Blog}
Jan 24th 2008 1:10PM What puzzles me is, what kind of person can't remember what side their gas cap is on?
Most Humiliating News Bloopers: No. 15 {AOL Video Blog}
Jan 21st 2008 6:40AM Even if you swear like a truck driver in your home, or even at the grocery store, you ought to be able to control yourself for a few minutes when speaking in public on the air or in gatherings, where you are "on." There's no excuse for it. It's very unprofessional.
10 Tips for finding your perfect diet {That's Fit}
Dec 30th 2007 2:20PM I think the author (Adams Briscoe) hit the nail on the head with this one. It makes perfect sense that you have to find a way of eating that you can stick with. Otherwise, all diets will fail. I'm sure, however, that a lot of us have a certain food we just can't resist, but we cannot beat ourselves up over it. If I'm craving something so badly, I learned to just eat it and get it over with, or I'd still be craving it two weeks down the road until I do. I think that's where a lot of people get stuck. They feel they have busted their diet and give up and start binging, thinking they will start over later. There's no starting over, because you go around in circles. I think just determining to eat more healthy in general, for life, seems to be the best way to attain long-term diet success.
Justin Timberlake says he's sexier than George Clooney and Brad Pitt {Styledash}
Dec 30th 2007 11:41AM As to the three guys in the article, I would pick Brad Pitt at the top of any contest. I wouldn't even consider George Clooney nor Justin Timberlake as appealing. I wouldn't say George and Justin are ugly, but I don't find them appealing. Appeal is different to different people. Like I always say about any subject, quantity does not equal quality. If millions of people like pickled pigs feet, that still won't make them right nor wrong compared to those who don't find pickled pigs feet appealing. It doesn't matter how many people like which one of the guys the most. That doesn't make them right.
Shirley MacLaine: Workout on a Limb? {TMZ}
Dec 29th 2007 8:00AM I've always liked Shirley MacLaine--terrific actress. But that outfit really sucks, lol. She's got a thousand colors on. Well, at least she is covered up. I give her credit, considering the trashy, disgusting styles people are parading around these days. Go Shirley, you always rock.
iPhone marriage proposal warms even the cynical heart {Engadget}
Dec 28th 2007 3:30PM Ha ha ha, that was funny and cute. If you would only marry someone who had no originality nor imagination, think of what a dull marriage you would have. If you would only marry someone over a proposal that you think would get your friends' approval and make you look good, you only think of yourself anyway, so you don't deserve the guy.
