iFixIt releases transparent iPhone 4 rear panel (TUAW.com)

Apr 26th 2011 5:16PM Is there room between the glass and the innards to place a picture? That'd be the only reason I'd get this- if I could place an image under the glass (except for where the camera bit is).

Conde Nast decision exemplifies why publishers need to rethink iPad magazines (TUAW.com)

Apr 22nd 2011 10:18PM I thought Project had finally come to this conclusion, but in looking at the past 3 issues, one was $1, one was free, and the current is $4. Eh? Wired is another one that I thought would have understood, but doesn't.

Mar 31st 2011 9:13PM I'd use it with Time Machine, and sleep better at night. Cheers!

Costco to stop selling Apple products (TUAW.com)

Dec 9th 2010 1:25PM Wow Mark, way to lash out. I shop at Costco, and don't think I embody any of that, but I've been wrong before.

Here's another angle on the story- what exactly does a third party retailer gain from reselling Apple gear? I'm certain that the margins are low, and that's really what matters to an outfit like Costco. It's not a fan club, it's a business that would like to make a profit. I can't imagine that brick-and-mortar shops are having an easier time dealing with Apple than the developers are.

In the end, I don't expect this will matter much to either company.

iPhone-connected blood glucose meter now closer to reality (TUAW.com)

Sep 21st 2010 1:51PM Yeah, and watch- it'll be $2-3/test strip. Speaking as a diabetic that tests regularly, these companies can rot in hell. Wavesense is a fraction of the cost of the "brand names".

Paul Allen's company sues Apple, Google (TUAW.com)

Aug 27th 2010 4:53PM In defense of Mr. Allen, he ONLY has $13.5 Billion, and that doesn't go as far these days, and he probably needs to scrape up some more money to pay for his medical bills.

Vapor iPhone case review and giveaway (TUAW.com)

Aug 26th 2010 10:26AM I'm all over that orange color.

Cheers!
