American Idol: Top 13 elimination results (AOL TV)

Mar 12th 2009 10:16AM I would like to see the ones who CAN and DO write original work try it out on America at some point. Maybe give them the option when they can do 2 songs per night. Those who can't will sing another song I suppose but the show is American Idol not America's Best Karaoke. I think Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry are maybe the only truly Idol people that made it during the duration of the show. Others are ok, have a following I guess and will be ok financially but are they really Idols? I think Kelly Clarkson is a much better songwriter than singer but Chris Daughtry just kicks a$$. America didn't put Chris Daughtry through because they are freaking ga-ga over these bubble gum pop kids and always vote off the ones that are different. By different I mean the ones that lean towards rock, alternative, or country and don't stick to Top 40's Pop. Talent doesn't mean to me "ok you can sing" because there are tons of people who can sing very well - just take in a Broadway show sometime. I believe the word Idol should mean more than just a cute girl/guy who can belt out a song. It's just my opinion and if you don't like it - Bite Me!

Get your noses out of the kitchen and let the man do what he does best. As for the comment that he was overextending himself - shut the hell up and let him decide how much he can and cannot handle. He is a freaking culinary god and you just need to step out of his way and let him work some magic.

Gee- do ya think that counts as a telling the public before your mate breakup?! Oh yeah - did I mention they are JUST FRIENDS!!

May 10th 2006 11:32AM Britney Spears has been proving that money just makes her a rich hillbilly. She is hardly an icon - that takes years to prove and she's just barely old enough to drink legally. She successfully pulled off the transition from having a "tween" fan base to horny old men hoping to sneak a peek but ICON is a thing that is earned over many years and by making your mark in a unique way on the music industry. She has not accomplished that yet and won't as long as Kevin can keep her barefoot & pregnant.

Star Jones off The View: BREAKING NEWS (AOL TV)

May 10th 2006 11:20AM The View as it is has 6 components that work together no matter if you like the people or not. Star Jones - spoiled princess, Joy Behar - sarcastic commedian, Elizabeth - naive, young blonde ditz factor, Meredith -big sister type, Barbara - den mother, & "producer man" - the clueless guy who hopes they keep it tame enough for the FCC. Now they want to mess with that formula. It will totally change the dynamic to add another comedian although I guess I could see Gayle taking over the "big sister" role. It might be fun but most likely will be pathetic to see Rosie & Joy compete for who gets the most laughs. I see an SNL sketch in the making!
