Insurance Nightmare: Why We Need a Better System (Politics Daily)

Feb 25th 2010 3:46PM I also have Myeloma. My Oncologist and transplant doctor did all the communication with my insurance company. They got everything approved and the only time I did hear from my insurance company was from my case worker and all she wanted to know was if I was being taken care of properly.

Should America Be English-Only -- or Speak More Than One Language? (Lemondrop)

Jan 26th 2010 2:23PM We would do this if each of our states was a different country and language. If going from Florida to Georgia was like going from France to Germany we would have our signs in multiple languages. It just doesnt make sense here in the US.

Wall Street bankers are at it again: They will bet your life on 'life settlements' (BloggingStocks)

The only policies they buy are where death is certain in 2 years or less. These people have their own doctors that investigate the policy holder. If you buy policies of people that are in the last stages of liver cancer for example, a few might live longer than expected but as a whole the majority will die on time so to speak. There is no downside except for the return on the investment because we are all going to die. I have cancer and when I get nearer the end I would consider selling my policy at a discount so I could live it up my last year on earth.

Wall Street's $500 billion plot to profit from your death (Daily Finance)

Sep 7th 2009 11:28AM This is a great idea. I am 56 and have cancer and I am probably in my last 2 years or so. I would love to sell my life insurance policy at a discount so I could enjoy the hell out of the time I have left. If the purchaser of my policy makes a profit on it after Im gone thats a win win for both of us.

Top 400 taxpayers in the U.S. pay a 17 percent tax rate (Daily Finance)

Aug 19th 2009 2:45PM High-income returns are more likely to have income from capital gains and dividends, which are typically taxed at lower rates. (Note that in the case of capital gains and dividends, in most cases the income has already been taxed once by the corporate income tax, which is not included here.)

Ten Things You Might Not Know About Socialized Medicine (Politics Daily)

Jul 14th 2009 3:13PM I can tell you that with the type of cancer that I was diagnosed with 6 years ago if I were in England I would be dead right now. The drugs I was given that have now put me into remission are just now being made available under certian circumstances in England. Just think of the hundreds of people like me that developed this cancer at a young age and have been denied the drugs they need. Do a Google search for specific cancers and the NHS and read the articles about the people that have spent years fighting to get treatment. Specifically Velcade and Revlimid.

Oil has dropped $13, so gasoline should drop 30 cents, Americans hope (BloggingStocks)

Jul 10th 2009 4:29PM The stations have to sell the gas for what they are going to have to pay for it in the future or near that amount and sell the gas in the tanks for what they did pay for it. When the price of gas is going up the retailer has to go ahead and raise the price on the stock it owns to have the funds to replace it at the higher price.

Purse Too Heavy? Get the Lead Out (Stylelist)

Jun 26th 2009 12:17PM Since the testing regulations have been changing so fast in the last year, did they know the date of manufacture? The product could have passed inspection last year but not today.

New Jersey bill aims to ban driver's use of GPS while driving (Autoblog)

Jun 23rd 2009 12:49PM Isnt this the same state that bans drivers from pumping their own gas?

Apr 17th 2009 9:22PM The difference is that when Saddam tortured someone they were killed and ended up in a mass grave like the hundreds of thousands of other people he tortured and murdered.
