May 18th 2008 1:10PM I really think that HC is hanging in there because she knows that something is coming down on Obama. At first he looke promising to me, then...I read his wife's comments, his book,etc. I was particularly upset about his comments on whites and "standing with the muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly dirction". Also, "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race". Those comments along turned me away from his candidacy. Lord only knows what is in the Mrs. thesis, can't wait to hear! I think they are both racists,they have surrounded themselves by people of dubious intent concerning the U.S.

May 7th 2008 4:29PM I have been reading all the comments and folks let's just admit it...they are all liars, spin artists, racist? don't really think so, Obama is the one who first surfaced the race issue but that really does not matter. Remember when they were all pandering to the latinos?, then blacks, then "older white women" - that one pi--ed me off, it is just one group after another that they all pander to..flavor of the week. I wish the Rep. could have run someone else instead of/or against McCain..maybe Romney, Huckabee, Ron Paul..ah for the good old days when we thought we would have some "choices". Best to select one that will do the least amount of harm...

He will be all that is left after Obama gets hammed this far for things such as: his book, lies about his muslim faith, wife's hatred of whites or any other color of skin, more of Rev.Wright, his plan to disarm America (video in his own words), it's curtains for the democratic party.

Anyone who can attend a church and be mentored by this church leader and not be "aware" of the basic precepts he preached is either not being honest or he is ignorant. He should either have been honest about his beliefs or should have walked away from it 20 years ago. He used rhetoric relying on our founding documents to side step his way past this most important issue.

I AM WHITE, HAVE LOTS OF FRIENDS THAT ARE BLACK, HISPANIC, FRENCH, GERMANS, ETC. I DON'T LOOK AT THEM AND SEE ANYTHING OTHER THAN MY FRIENDS AND I AM SURE THEY FEEL THE SAME ABOUT MOI.
