Ron Paul For President...of What? (Politics Daily)
May 28th 2008 5:08PM I think the reason people why away from supporting Ron Paul's platform are obvious. They want a nanny-state where the government takes care of them from cradle to grave.
Fact of the matter is, the government cannot take care of anyone without first forcibly taking the fruits of someone else's labor. If you say they don't force us, then try not paying your taxes for a few years.
Dr. Paul is a firm believer that the bigger the government gets, the more freedom the cititzens lose.
It's pretty simple. It's all outlined in the Constitution. The federal government is supposed to provide for the defense of our liberties, a court system to handle disputes... and that's it. The rest should be handled by the state government. The more local a government is, the better it can respond to the needs of the people.
Someone said, "Anyone who has been to a state sanitarium knows how dangerous the premise of state caring for the indigent/handicapped is."
Do you think our federal government is sooooo much more efficient at handling these matters?? HA!
The Constitution LIMITS the powers of the federal government. The Bill of Rights is not a list of our rights, but rather a list of the limitations on our federal government. We've strayed a long way from that.
Take the Dept. of Education, for example. We've doubled the amount of federal money being spent by this beauracratic nightmare, and in the process we've slipped from #1 in education in the world... to #23. Seems to me that abolishing the DoE would only help. At least we could keep those tax dollars and spend them on something that actually works.
People need to realize that FREEDOM and lack of regulation is what made our country the greatest on earth. As we slide into socialism... as is natural when the government gets too big and powerful... we are also sliding out of our superpower status.
One last point.
We're $10 trillion in debt. How can we afford these bureaus any longer?

RON PAUL for President in 2008
Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Come on people... let's look at the voting record of the other candidates. FLIP, FLOP, FLIP, FLOP.
I'm a republican, so I used to argue with people about the rational for the war in Iraq. Let's face it... Iraq a 3rd world country with no army, navy or airforce. They are not a threat to our national security. Some people we're over there to protect our oil interest. Oil was $27/barrel before the war... now it's over $100.
Bring the troops home and put them on our border. Use the trillion/year we're spending over there to care care of our own peeps. That's Ron Paul's plan.

Hot Seat: Paul Excluded From Fox Debate (Politics Daily)
Jan 3rd 2008 11:52AM The reason Fox isn't having Dr. Paul in the debates is (supposedly) because of his low polling numbers. I think those polls are an out-dated way to determine a candidates chances. Only calling the people who voted Republican last time, only calling people with land line, etc. ... This is not a very scientific poll. I think the most scientific poll you could have now would be the straw polls... and Ron Paul wins most of those hands down.
I think people are going to be surprised at Ron Paul's numbers when the final tally is taken.

Dec 28th 2007 5:15PM Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul.
There is no other choice. Look him up if you think you have to "vote for the lesser of 2 evils"... you don't have to do that this time. (It's more like 15 evils and one master statesman, Ron Paul.)

Hot Seat: Is Clinton Experienced Enough? (Politics Daily)
Dec 28th 2007 5:03PM To all the people saying we can't elect another Republican... you're wrong. Ron Paul is a rep. and he stands for the traditional republican ideals... SMALL fed government, end the war, reduce taxes, balance the budget, strong on illegal immigration... I could go on and on.
He stands out like a sore thumb at the debates... because he's the only true conservative we have left in Washington.

Doesn't sound like your typical Washington elite does it?? He has more integrity in his little pinky finger than all of the candidates have put together.
Vote Ron Paul in 2008!

Hot Seat: Is Clinton Experienced Enough? (Politics Daily)
Dec 28th 2007 4:51PM The only candidate with any sense in this whole election is RON PAUL.
His positions...
1. End the war now.
2. Bring our troops home... from almost everywhere.
3. Protect our own borders. Stop subsidizing immigrants with free edu and med care.
4. Stop meddling in the Middle East. This is why the terrorists hate us.
5. Trade, talk and be diplomatic with other countries, but don't try to give them democracy and freedom through the barrel of a gun.
6. Saving tons of money with a non-interventionist foreign policy, get rid of the IRS and the fed income tax... completely. (We would still have 2/3 of the revenue in the fed that we have now, it just wouldn't be coming from the fruits of our labor. The income tax is modern-day slavery of the American people.)
7. Abolish the Fed Reserve Bank. It is NOT a federal institution, but rather a PRIVATE central bank under the control of the Rockefellers and other already too rich crooks.
8. Reduce the size of the federal government to a size the founding fathers wanted... SMALL. Just enough to protect the citizens, not big enough to rob us blind.
9. Strictly follow the constitution.
10. Put more control back in the hands of the states like the founders wanted it.
Sounds like a great plan to me. We've butchered our Constitution in the last 120 years. It's time to go back to the basics.
Vote for Ron Paul!

Straw Poll: Dec. 21 - Jan. 4 (Politics Daily)
Dec 27th 2007 2:57PM J.B.,
You think Billary is a woman? HA! She's got bigger balls than most men I know, and I don't mean that as a compliment.
She's been bought and paid for many times over by special interest... just like her husband... and all the other candidates.
I've heard other congressmen talk about Ron Paul. They say he sits alone in Congress. (Good, I want someone who's NOT for the status quo.) They also say that the lobbiest don't even come by his office. They learned a long time ago... his vote is not for sale.
He's got a sign on his desk that reads, "Don't steal - The government hates competition". He is truly on OUR side... not the side of big, intrusive government.
Straw Poll: Dec. 21 - Jan. 4 (Politics Daily)

Amen, brother. Well said.
Straw Poll: Dec. 21 - Jan. 4 (Politics Daily)
Dec 27th 2007 2:41PM Denny,
The telephone polls are the ones that disagree with all the other polls. They are the ones that have Ron Paul at 3-7%. Those polls are done by telephone land line, and they only count the opinion of those who voted in the last REPUBLICAN primary (only 6.6% of republicans voted in the last primary). So... amongst the people who voted (probably for Bush) in the last rep. primary, Paul only gets around 5% of the vote on average.
But... everywhere else... where the polls aren't scewed to reflect "last time" (to be "more accurate"), Ron Paul is winning hands down.
Straw polls... where people get out and vote (like the real thing), Ron Paul is doing quite well.
Herein lies the difference in the polls.
But... this primary will be different.
