1) somebody thinks this is a free speech issue. Free speech is not about being able to talk at any place in the country at any point in time.
2) somebody thinks the teacher was wrong for assigning detention. While I laugh at the joke in "The Office", this is hardly an appropriate joke for a school classroom.
