Homeowners Association That Evicted U.S. Soldier Gets Death Threats (Housingwatch)
Jun 30th 2010 9:04PM Soldiers & Sailors Releif Act protects Deployed Servicemembers from unscrupulous debt collectors. According to this article, the home was owned by a Servicemembers Spouse and the Servicemembers In-Laws. If that is true, there is no protection under the act since the property wasn't documented as owned by him even jointly (his wife & parents in law?). Her legal property, her legal responsibility, her loss, not his. (I'm a 16yr Army Veteran who deployed to combat and had a family too.) I actually believe that she and hers kept his name off the house to "Protect it", boy did that backfire.
SalonTech Debuts Silicone 450 Flat Iron - Win It Here! (Stylelist)
Jun 3rd 2010 2:20PM I want this for my wife, she has thick, curly, Red hair, down near her waist. That is, once it's been straightened, otherwise it tries to duplicate Bozo the Clown, with the hair's ability to eclipse her shoulders. We've been through many Ceramic Irons yet are uncomfortable with their potential to damage her otherwise unruly mane. I'm particularly interested if it requires minimal force to squeeze the mating surfaces together as she is Arthritic.
Lieberman and Scott Brown Move to Strip U.S. Citizenship For Terrorists (Politics Daily)
May 6th 2010 10:38PM Better make revocation retroactive to the time & day that the citizen conceived a terroristic plot. Otherwise, this one goes free. It is absolutely Illegal to utilize Federal Troops against Civilian Citizens of the United States within our borders for ANY reason. Using an Army Signal Intercept Plane against a "Citizen", even a new one, is unconstitutional. That is unless you lie and say it was an FBI Plane, manned only by FBI Personnel. I want him busted (executed) for his crime however, the end can't justify the means. (It would have been better if he died committing suicide by shooting himself in the head thrice with a 12ga shotgun)
Majority of Arizonans Favor New Immigration Law (Politics Daily)
May 5th 2010 6:34PM When a stranger your home by force, the Law protects you by making illegal and prosecutable. If this same stranger demands your property, your job and the keys to the house, it's not Racial Profiling to call him a criminal and it won't be Racist to shoot them. The innability to effectively communicate in english is probable cause enough to justify Law Enforcement to suspect that you are foreign born and request to see your Identity and Immigration Papers to verify that you're not overstaying the Visa that we all know was issued (if you're not a criminal).
Arizona Immigration Law: Will Citizens Carry Passports? (Politics Daily)
Apr 25th 2010 8:51AM It's obvious that if you can't communicate in English, that you hail from another country. If you came legally, you know that you're required to carry your INS Documents. If you arrived without documentation, go the heck home and apply for legal entry before you're caught. I think it should also be a crime to know an illegal, rent a home to an illegal, hire an illegal (already a crime with no punishment). You're part of the problem or part of the solution, decide. You can choose to sponsor a foreignor here on a Visa.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer Signs Tough Immigration Law (Politics Daily)
Apr 23rd 2010 6:38PM The innability to demonstrate communication in English, in and of itself, should be enough "Probable Cause" to justify a request to see documentation of anyones immigration status. The person should be questioned by a Law Enforcement person who can sprak their language. If 70% of non-english speakers are of foreign birth, it's not "Profiling", it's common sense.
What Democrats Should Do Now on Health Care: Heed Their Inner Churchill (Politics Daily)
Jan 20th 2010 6:40PM I have a better solution. Declare all health insurance profit illegal. Health Care should be a Human Right, not something to be managed by Profiteers who control the market for Corporate Greed. I'm not opposed to them earning large paychecks actually caring for health needs, I am opposed to their mismanagement of healthcare for profit. Right now they earn their salaries denying services, it is absolutely wrong to profit One Dollar by engineering a system that Cherry Picks Profitable Customers while flushing the rest once they need the service they were paying for. Raising Premiums on the Employer once an Employee becomes expensive to pressure the Employer to get rid of the Employee is also a common tactic and likewise unethical.
Adorable Sign Punishment for Woman Who Assaulted Cop (Asylum)
Jan 17th 2010 8:33AM Not to overstate the obvious but, when a cop is off duty working as a bar bouncer... how is it that he can have someone charged with "Assaulting an Officer"? Does that same protection apply to "RentaCops" everywhere?
California DMV Drives Workers Mad With Furlough Fridays (AOL Jobs)
Jan 12th 2010 7:58AM DMV worker... I'll be happy to replace you. Yes I'll work a 5 day week (and "Voluntary Saturday Overtime") for your Salary and Benefits Package. You see, there are a whole lot of "Unemployed and Underemployed" folk that don't qualify for "Unemployment Benefits", we're willing to work anytime, anywhere, just to make a "Living Wage".
Employee Goes 43 Years Without A Sick Day (AOL Jobs)
Dec 26th 2009 6:06PM Cool that there's an employer willing to generate such attendance. I'm thankful to get work but have worked myself out of a job many times by overproducing. Maybe it's time to go back into mechanics again instead of construction and communications and electrical.
