Expedia Suspends American Airlines Sales (AOL Travel News)

Jan 4th 2011 12:20AM Good for American Airlines., Perhaps Expedia will come to realize that there are more sites than its only to purchase thickets on American Airlines. In any event, I have found that I get the best price by going directly to aa.com.

People would do well to remember that when an airline's revenue is cut, it only results in higher fares or bankruptcy. Reducing competition then raises fares even more. No, I WANT airlines to make a profit so they remain a financially stable business.

NCAA Bungles Ohio State Ruling Along With Entirety of 2010's Rulings (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Jan 1st 2011 11:42PM Who says it was "THEIR belongings". Last I heard, the university purchases the uniform, not the player. They are therefore stealing from the university, and if it is a State school, they are stealing from the taxpayers!

Jan 1st 2011 11:38PM Outstanding!!!!! It looks as if the professional football owners are playing the universities (and in the case of State schools, the taxpayer) for the fools that they are. After all, THEY don't have to lay out one red cent on developing the players that they eventually sign, thus allowing them to profit all the way around. It is time for THEM to foot the bill!!!!

Jan 1st 2011 11:29PM Sounds like you are making a great case for abolishing intercollegiate sports! Good for you!

Mike Haywood, New Pitt Coach, Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Jan 1st 2011 4:32PM Notre Dame's reputation cannot afford to have this "man" represent us! His personal values will only damage the school and the faith we so dearly love!

NCAA Bungles Ohio State Ruling Along With Entirety of 2010's Rulings (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Jan 1st 2011 3:23PM The article only points up the thievery, thuggery, hypocrisy, greed and conniving that permeates university football, and presents the best of reasons for abolishing big-money intercollegiate athletics. In my career of 50+ years as a sports reporter, sports editor and university sports PR flack, I have seen the greatness of intercollegiate athletic programs devolve into a pure embarrassment that I will no longer endorse by even watching on TV. Since university programs ultimately rely on taxpayers' largess, it is time to pull the plug on the money spout. Let the professional teams put up the money for the training and preparation of greedy professional Thugees.
