Dec 16th 2008 11:15AM Ok people,I would like to think most of you are smart enough to know that one man does not and cannot speak for an entire heritage.
The way i and the Auburn students see it as just a very poor choice compaired to what was available.
To Lori,Obama was not elected because of his race.How can I say this,because 61% of his votes came from caucasian americans,23% from african americans and 15% hispanic americans. So enough with the gradeschool BS.

Feb 1st 2008 12:44PM Just looked at the Paris episode and it seems to me that Gordon was dealing with a crew of un dedicated morons.The cook was taking entirely too long to get anything out and too eccentric to be real.The waitress came in when she felt like it,none had proper respect for the owner and the owner didn't have any business trying to run a restaraunt. She had her father as a backer to the tune of $100,000.00, had a new young chef come in from Scotland named India who was brilliant(and quite attractive) and yet the owner failed the business because she is not mature enough to handle grown up responsabilities. Her dad probably spoiled her too much.He paid off the bank loan after the place closed and she almost didn't show up for the meeting afterwards.
On an up note,Gordon made sure that India didn't withdraw because of the closure.He gave her employment at one of his UK eateries where she can continue to grow.

Feb 1st 2008 12:25PM Thankfully,The Walnut Tree Inn has reopened and has enlisted the help of several former workers who were there when the original owners were still involved.The former owner just seemed to be too proud and stubborn to listen to the changes that Gordon said would be essential for the Walnut tree to survive.

Nov 19th 2007 11:03PM I think it is foolish to try and rate thees shows through adult eyes.Remember that for the main part,these shows were aimed at kids at a time when production cost were on a tight budget.Sid & Marty Krofft deserve better alcolades than what the get these days. Electro woman & Dyna Girl,Bugaloos,etc,was IT when it came to kid shows of the 70s. Manimal was cool as a pre teen show.Any more dissin outta you fella and I CUT YOU MAIN!!

The short answer without having to go that far is.. no one.Members of mankind have proven to be both wonderfull,ignorant,highly intellegent,inconcieveably stupid,brave,cowardly,humble and arrogant.There is no MASTER RACE as Hitler and his bound for disaster fools found out the hard way.There is no master religion,just ask Torqemada or the Crusaders,there is no master anything on this planet.We are all just a tiny spec in the deepest reaches of outer space.
Oh and by the way,There is NO WAY were are the only intelligent life outside this blue ball of clay.Just in case the thought may have crossed your mind.

Carter has:
Built houses with habitat for humanity.
Negotiated peace talks in the hot zones.
Commanded a submarine(during WWII).

Was he a good president,no, but he has done a much better job doing gods work around the globe.

Oct 19th 2007 7:44PM To Rick,your own personal experience with blacks can be understandable,however,it DOES NOT represent the heritage as a whole.Just like being stereotypical tward anyone who dosen't have a white face, commiting white collar crimes,wife beatings, wearing white hoods and child molesting has nothing to do with being caucasian.As far as naming atributes to scientific discoveries,you can just ask the scientist who are continuing to find discoveries that were used thousands of years ago in places like the middle eastern countries as well as Africa and South America.If you want a short list of doctors here in the states that made scientific discoveries that benefit our lives,here is:
1. Garret Morgan (Gas Mask,Traffic Signal)
2. George Washington Carver(Chemistry:too many items to name-look him up)
3.Elija Mc Coy(Automatic Oiling system for machinery)
4.Benjamin Banneker(Almanac,Astronomy,Science) A WHITE publisher of his Almanac in 1792 said this:The color of skin is in no way connected with the strenght of the mind or intellectual powers.
5.Charles Drew(Preservation of blood Plasma longer than 7 days)
6. Bessie Blount:Physical Therapy for amputee victims and methods to deliver food to them without using their hands.

Now knowing this,you can now update you statements to show that you are now aware of some prominent black scientist who have contributed to the well being of all who live on this planet.However, the journey dosen't stop there.They are so many other prominent scientist of hebrew,arabic,chineese,japaneese, Etc that don't get their proper due.Do not let school history books,newspapers,and hollywood rob you of this great knowledge yet to be learned.Seek and ye shall find...if you truly want to know and remove some more ignorance from your lips.

Oct 19th 2007 7:00PM To Douglas Jones,if blacks are not as intellegent as caucasians then why is it that the caucasian explorers are still finding out new things from places like Africa that existed for thousands of years before any of us were even thought of? Now lets put things in perspective,Africa is the motherland of ALL OF US! regardless of what your immediate heritage is.If you look back far enough,you will find the roots there.To disrespect african americans or any other race for that matter as not as smart as another is just plain empty headed and no, STEREOTYPES ARE NOT BASED ON FACT,THEY ARE BASED UPON PERSONAL IGNORANCE.
