Why Women Opt for Racy Halloween Costumes (Stylelist)
Oct 30th 2010 10:11AM Because I'm a BFing mom the slutty outfits actually work in my favour. I bought an outfit you can wear numerous ways that's easy for me to stay clothed and feed her. So it's not all bad.
I did make it mommy friendly. I bought a cape and I'm wearing sensible flats.
Heidi Montag: 'My Boobs Are Crushing Me' (PopEater)
Aug 25th 2010 2:31PM Are we really supposed to feel sorry for her? She did it to herself.
Wear Wristwatch? Use Email? Not for Class of '14 (ParentDish)
Aug 18th 2010 5:28PM I was taught to read and write in cursive and as an adult barely need it. Most people's cursive writing, adults older than I, have atrocious handwriting to the point I've asked them to just print.
And signing a name is really as simple as putting your name down on a piece of paper. I sign things, like my license and checks in print, and they still work. With more things being signed electronically cursive for certain things is becoming obsolete. It's more cute than anything. (Plus you can barely tell the difference and many just sign with a line anyway.)
And honestly...I have a hard time writing handwriting from say the 1800's or even the 30's because the style is different. And many times it's been reprinted in print for you to read.
Halle Berry Covers September Issue of Vogue (BV on Style)
Aug 13th 2010 5:40AM Because if she were to walk down the street and you had no idea who she was you'd probably think that's a black woman walking down the street. It's as simple as that.
Plus she also refers to herself as such. Why can't we just respect that?
Also, typing in all caps is considereed yelling. No need to yell.
Fat vs. Obese: Which Is Worse? (That's Fit)
Aug 11th 2010 5:38PM There is one lady who's goal is to be the fattest woman. And there are people who are perfectly content with being fat. They don't want to loose weight. There's a few tribes in African where skinny is seen as unhealthy and fat is beautiful. Even though some know it can kill them.
Mother Mistaken for the Nanny of Her Mixed-Race Daughter (ParentDish)
Jul 27th 2010 1:31PM I think it's funny how genetics work. My dad is mixed, but looks almost 100% AA, while his mom and sisters look almost 100% white. I just say I'm AA, as it makes my life easier. My daughter will be mixed, we have no idea what she'll look like as I'm still baking this one. But people would ask my mom all the time if I was her's when I was younger. She said it got on her nerves, but she just learned to live with it. Now people insist that we look a like, when we don't at all.
I don't think it should matter. My nephew looked like he should have been mine, and not his mothers, for months. My next door neighbour's little girl is brown like his sister but in the winter looks like him. And my best friend's kid looks like him and he's not the biological dad.
Besides a lot of stuff isn't permanent. My nephew's hair was actually darker than mine, but is blonde now. I got a lot darker around age 12.
The Worst 'America's Got Talent' Finalists, Plus 5 Acts That Should've Made It (AOL TV)
Jul 13th 2010 8:47AM I have to agree with the author of this piece. I was pissed off to no end that Carlos didn't make it and they picked the genie(Hannibal). Every time I look at that man I think, "Where's his lamp?" He's awful.
I hate they put through that red headed lady too. She was just awful, stupid, untalented and I can do make-up better than her; I don't even wear make-up! I also think the hand whistler and Ronith were a waste of good spaces.
Can they have a show where America gets to pick the "talent" to go and those to bring back? I want Carlos back. Or at least for someone to pick him up and make a record. I could listen to that, and anyone who can get my rock'n'roll baby to go to sleep in the womb and settle comfortably deserves something!
Designer diapers hit Target's shelves (WalletPop)
Jul 3rd 2010 6:28AM Even if I were using disposibles I'd not buy those because they're more expensive, and who has the money to spend on something you'll just throw away anyway? Plus many times diapers are covered up and you can't see them anyway. Though it's interesting to see. One reason I chose cloth diapers over 'sposies was because they're cuter in the style department. They still have more designs and are reusuable.
Is the World Ready for Another Grace Kelly? (ParentDish)
Jul 2nd 2010 11:53AM I think she should go ahead and name her child Grace if she wants to. There's not a problem with it. Many people do know who Grace Kelly was, and she's known for glamour and her tragic death. But she was a princess to boot. Many girls would like that.
I've met a Chris Brown, Denzel Washington and a Blair Underwood. And lord knows there's many Michael Jacksons out there.
I'd rather a name associated with someone like Grace Kelly than some of these made up names. At least Grace is graceful.
Not to mention her daughter could have equally have married a Smith and not a Kelly.
Celebrity Moms Better Not Hire Nannies if They Want Daryl Hannah's Approval (ParentDish)
Jul 1st 2010 11:27AM I've never been a parent before(FTM), but I've worked with enough children and been around enough children to know crap parenting when I see it. Why have children then pass them off to a nanny? That's not logical. I understand that 100%. I also think her idea, well not her's exactly, of having two then adopt the rest is a great one. There are plenty of children out there who need a good home. I myself wanted to experience a pregnancy(which I've loved despite the hardships I've gone through) but still wish to adopt because a child needs a loving home. My boyfriend agrees. If we want another we're adopting, and maybe when we're older we'll foster.
