Confessions of a Mother: Guilty Things Moms Secretly Do (Holidash News)
May 6th 2011 3:11PM I found some of these confessions to be incredibly disturbing! The toddler alone in the tub, the toddler alone in the yard and the mom who watches her young one climb playground equipment from the bench all seem to be lazy moms. These are the same type of mothers who can't ever understand why bad things happen to them or their children! I raised three healthy, well adjusted boys but I made sure they were safe and supervised. Your children should be your first priority, not yourself! If you don't want to take care of them properly don't have them!
Sick Kids in Rural Areas Can't Find a Dose of Doctor Care (ParentDish)
Dec 26th 2010 8:10PM A lot of doctors get out of school with student loans amounts that are staggering. It is more a matter of having to choose an area that the doctor will make enough money to pay off the student loans. Unfortunately a lot of the rural areas have a heavy concentration of people on Medicare and public health programs. The reimbursement amount that a doctor gets will not pay his bills. Not all doctors are snobs. They young ones have to make economic choices to pay off their loans and pay their bills.
Beanbags, Barrels, and a Surprising Elimination on 'Survivor: Nicaragua' (VIDEO) (AOL TV)
Sep 30th 2010 9:55AM I haven't watched Survivor for quite a while. I tuned in just to see Jimmy J. Now that he is done with the show so am I.

Don't Let Public Temper Tantrums Give You Fits (ParentDish)
Mar 25th 2010 10:26AM I have raised three sons and have to laugh at some of these articles. Time outs have there place but the grocery store is not one of them. We need to teach parents and kids that good behavior is to be expected. Don't take your kids out in public when they need a nap. They will fall apart. Tell you kiddos what you expect from them before you get into the store. Follow through with those expectations. No bribes! When your kids have a melt down don't react. Stay calm and remind them what they are supposed to do. Apologize to the other customers and finish if you are at the check out. When you get to the car you have to remind the little darlings why they are in trouble. Then at home a time out or nap may be in order. I always tried to give my sons choices to minimize conflict. The thing I wanted them to do was the best of the two choices: you can pick up your toys or you can take a time out in the corner and then pick up your toys. It worked beautifully until they hit high school. I saved the spanking for really serious infractions. I am proud to say I have three wonderful sons who enjoy spending time with their parents so I don't think we scarred them!
Police Dog Ordered to Bite Wrong Man (Pawnation OLD)
Nov 12th 2009 5:39PM Just remember how much you hate cops the next time you need one. Take care of your problems yourself and don't ask for help if you are in an accident, robbed, attacked....

Dirk Nowitzki's Ex Claims She's Pregnant (Fanhouse NBA Blog)
May 21st 2009 9:23AM I feel sorry for Dirk. I think this woman was a very clever grifter who was able to fool him. Luckily she was exposed before Dirk married her. Now we will just have to see if she is really pregnant and if so, whose child it is. I hope she is lying and Dirk never has to deal with her again.
Bishops Vow to Fight Obama Abortion Agenda (Politics Daily)
Nov 13th 2008 1:48PM The main concern of the Bishops is that the Catholic hospitals will be forced to preform abortions. They feel that is NOT an option. To avoid that possiblity they would rather not have womens services available. Government should not force these hospitals to preform procedures that are against the beliefs of the church. Other hosptals and care givers provide abortions. These services are available elsewhere.
Welfare 101: Starving students go on food stamps (WalletPop)
Aug 21st 2008 10:27AM Wolfy - You now pay for those meals while you are in college and believe me it isn't cheap. My son's room and board (meal plan) is almost as much as his tuition. I still sent tons of snack items for when he is up late studying. College is really expensive! The costs have gone up a lot since my first kid went eight years ago.
