Jul 28th 2009 9:11PM This stupid show and all of Seth MacFarlane's other nonsense should be taken off the air. His work seems to have the tendency to make the world a worse place. The things in his shows and the jokes he makes are not okay, but when people see them on tv every week or every day they think they are worth repeating. Also, food for thought, MacFarlane makes jokes about people, but doesn't have to bear the results of his jokes. Yeah, he makes fun of the Irish (apparently he's Irish), but some stereotypes are worse than others, and the ones about the Irish are not that bad. Hey MacFarlane: You've been given a place in a widely reaching medium. Try using it to change the world for the better.

If this french guy, who by the way, many people would also hate simply because he's french, wanted to make fun of president Obama, he should have made 'smoking negro' cookies. Or maybe 'really tall negro cookies". Something that actually applies to him. I'll tell you who was a drunk--former president Bush. And his daughters to boot. His wife killed someone. Beyonce is Etta James? (Cinematical)

Jan 29th 2008 3:13AM I'm sure she'll do fine. She's lovely and talented, and if she does look different from Etta James, they can make her up to look like Etta. As for her voice, consider the idea that any talented singer, especially one with the versatility and flexibility of Beyonce's, must have grown up singing the songs and mimicking the voices of those who have gone before her. My point is, I'm sure she could do it, mainly because it's likely that she's done it before, and that she respects Etta James enough as one of her musical ancestors to do it the best she can. And with Beyonce's voice, 'the best she can' will be pretty darn good.

Dying for straight hair (Stylelist)

Oct 26th 2007 5:15AM Of course the extent of the damage that formaldehyde wreaks on the human body depends on the type of contact. In the case of the lady that died and that of the danger of the hair styling method, it seems that the problem is not just that formaldehyde is present in an amount 4 times what is considered dangerous, but that it is also applied with heat. Anybody with any chemistry background can infer that a chemical that is not particularly toxic when in something like a cream cleanser can become very toxic when heated into a gas and inhaled. So, I guess the lesson here is don't inhale toxins just to fix up your hair. And, anyway, who said straight hair is the best way to do your hair? I know so many girls who's self esteem stems from how straight their hair is. I don't mean to be insulting, but I think that's really stupid. Be happy with who you are. The likelihood is you're naturally beautiful. And anyway, if you're trying to attract men, I can tell you from experience, no man is incredibly attracted to a woman who's way of living is centered around the way her hair looks.
