Jun 29th 2008 10:43AM If you are planing a Vacation this Summer, don't do it in Europe. I just returned from a 10 day vacation in Italy, Baveria and Austria and let me tell you it was the most exspensive trip of my live. Venice, Italy was the most exspensive of the three places I visited, Germany was second, then Austria. The things we buy in US dayly are cheap compared to prices over there, plus you are only getting 62 cents for your Dollar, [amount changes dayly] for example, if you buy a shirt costing here in US $35.00 dollars, that same Shirt in Europe will cost you 35-Euro's, when converted to dollars, you have now paid approx. 48.00$ .And that goes for eating out and everything else, A 10.00 Euro meal,is coasting you aprox.15.00 US Dollars. If you rent a Car, for my 9DAY'S I paid 414$ on an Economy class. the gas or Diesel is sold by the Liter, not Gallons, A liter of gas is on average is 1.54 Euros . Hotels, are exspensive as well, your average Hotel rate at summer high Season rates will coast you approx. 75 to 120 Euros per night ,it will incude a Breakfest . Don't forget , 75.00 Euros ,are just over 100.00 dollars. you can get a Ferien Wohnung in Germany for average of 55-80 Euros per night, but you'll have to do your own cleaning, no Room Service.I mean Europe is an exiting place to visit, just be prepared to shell out lots of Bucks. In iItaly you can easely ad another 20% on top of the German and Austrian figures I gave you. OOPpS ,I almost forgot,the airfare was for my Doughter [18]and myself R.T. $2600.00 US, so a family of four for 10 day's, doing some traveling and splurging a little bit, can easely end up coasting you over $5000.00 or more depending on how many places you plan to visit. If you like the big Mountains around you, fly to Aspen Colorado, 10- Day's there will save you aprox. $1 to $2000 dollars for that same 10 days in Europe and the Scienery is very similar.

Jun 8th 2008 2:56PM I can remember when Steardesses were very young and very pretty,and you would think twice to be rude to a pretty woman, however these days, Attandents are for the most part older ,not so pretty woman,some look down right mean and bitter and certanly have forgotten how to smile,[ requierment for job] So when I look at an overweight unattractive woman on one of my International flights, I get a little turned off,especially since I still remember how pretty Steardesses used to be requiered to look and did, it made Flying extra special, I have fond memmories of the Pan Am Girls, Lufhansa Girls and United Airline Girls, all of them could have been in Playboy, aaaahhh, the good old day's.
