Dec 9th 2012 12:44AM ANYONE is guilty! The police and Feds are TRACKING people's IP addresses based on WEBSITES KNOWN to have this material on it. MOST people are UNKNOWINGLY downloading the stuff. This is HUGE! Its happening ALL THE TIME and ALL over the Country! Usually its a peer to peer website someone uses to download music/videos for an Ipod. Instead of what they want, they end up with child porn. And, they dont know it because the way it's hidden WITHIN THE FILE. There have been MANY THOUSANDS of MALES going through this. They don't go after the females because they want to ensure the automatic "assumption" of a male being a more likely pedohile then a female. The people who end up finding out about the porn complain to the website and the website ignores the problem. It only takes one person to go TO the feds to complain and make them aware of the site and even then, THEY aren't safe from this! This is a MANDATORY MINIMUM 5 YEARS for ONE FILE under Federal law. And based on your "folder" settings and the idea of going to trial, they will attach "distibution", which gets another 10 years! The perfect example of this is LIMEWIRE. Just Google the term "Limewire and child porn". And it will show you how all these people end up on the radar and eventually arrested, forced into plea deals, and labled sex offenders for life! INSTEAD of the law HELPING these people in awareness, sutting down the websites that refuse to put measures in place, etc... L/E goes AFTER the person! And, this is an EXTREMELY EASY way for them to "take a bite out of crime" and make it appear to the public they've gotten all these "perverts" off the streets. When in reality, these people are set up and FREELY CALLED by L/E LOW HANGING FRUIT! The more a person tries to defend themselves, the more they "tack on" and L/E says they just don't have the "resources to go after the REAL CRIMINALS". WTF?! Its insane how much they get away with doing this to people! Trust me, put a nail through your HD if you even suspect something got on your computer. The real culprits are getting away while the police/feds use an innocent person to take the fall for it. Don't judge until you KNOW ALL THE FACTS!!

At least she's getting that. How about the one's that are left behind. Like the kids from the first ex-wife? Those kids don't get sqaut because daddy wants t osign everything over to his "new" wife to make her happy and taken care of. Yet, those kids have a single parent now, and NO benefits to help them out. And, yes, SOME of these soldiers are like that, in fact many. And, yes, I am one of those. My ex ran off leaving me with two sons to raise. These boys haven't gotten ANYTHING. Menawhile his THIRD wife now with 2 STEP kids, receive it all. Now, how is that right? I hope they change it to help the KIDS of ANY and ALL soldiers, not just hte one's ON paper at the time!

I don't need religion to tell me what right or wrong or even if I HAVE the right. Just because I dont agree with it doesn't make me a bigot or have less FREEDOM in saying so or feeling so then anyone else. I don't HAVE to accept it and I dont HAVE to put up wit hit. These people are NOT "entitled" anymore then I am. The hypocrisy comes from those on that side who seem to say it's ok for everyone to have their feelings, your enetitled to them. But dont you dare side AGAIANST US". Because, THATS when they start with the name calling. So, as long as I agree with their view I'm ok. If not then it's all wrong, I'm a *** name, or it's some kind of religous slam. So, why is it okay for them to slam my religion if THATS MY RIGHT per their OWN declaration (IF I were to use religion behind my arguement? See what I'm saying? Ya.... thats my point.

Jul 14th 2011 8:27PM Make no bones about it, IF this guy is found guilty and I believe he is, though he has not been proven so in court... YET. He DOES have the right to ANY and ALL "exculpatory evidence" in his SELF Representation. By our very CONSTITUTION he has this RIGHT! We CANNOT just KEEP changing laws or adding laws to suit "certain" cases, crimes, people/victims. IF we keep doing this EVERYTHING will be against the law. And, we already have a HUGE failure of our system in this matter. There are INNOCENT young males being sent to prison for HUGE amounts of time. In some cases more then serial murderers. All for ACCIDENTLY receiving child porn images while using peer to peer file sites. These males are simply trying to swap/get MUSIC/video music files for Ipods and the like. They instead have gotten the CP. And, EVEN WHEN they open the file and see what it is, DELETE the images, it's STILL ON THE HARD DRIVE! The police are FULLY aware of this and untilizing the law that is MEANT to take THIS scumbag down, and using it to put these kids in prison instead. Why? Because truly innocent people of this do NOT know HOW to deal with this issue, and they don't "hide" themselves because they don't know how or why to for something that is innocently done! Unlike ALL child pornographers and real pedophiles who KNOW how to hide themsleves online, by using certain means and I won't say what all those are. But, THIS IS being reported to the public as "taking another pedophile off the streets". Even though most ALL of the young men who have this happen to them, NEVER have been in trouble with the law, are in HIGH SCHOOL, are virgins, not computer savvy enough, etc. But, the public WANTS the hear that these "scumbags" are being put away Well ,since it's too hard t oget the real culprits, Law enforcement has found taht this is the next best way of getting that job done. And, they USE the law MEANT for this guy, Gilbert and others against the truly innocent. And, there is NO WAY OUT! These males mostly all take plea deals forced on them BECAUSE this issue is pulling at emotions and no jury will acquit them. They also are told if they dont take the deal they will charge them for every single one that ends up on the computer HD, deleted or not. UNOPENED, etc. Just having ONE file is a mandatory 5 YEAR Sentence(Federal law). And, they will also be considered sex offenders FOR LIFE! Their lives are being ruined over this-- ACCIDENT! And, what do we do? We play this game of well we nned ot make more laws. NOW WE DONT! What needs to be done is the PROPER disperment of the laws and holding to account those that are in true violation. Not one's who are guilty simply by incidental contact of such. If you don't think this is going on jsut look up "LIMEWIRE AND CHILD PORN". It will tell you EXACTLY what is going on with these poor kids versus actual sickos.

Jun 21st 2011 4:22PM I couldn't agree more! And, for the record, Texas was a corpral punishment State just a few years ago. I guess they changed that. But, then again, maybe ONLY the TEACHERS are allowed to spank kids and not parents. If I was this woman I'd actually be suing the State for these malicious and over zealous prosecution and use Texas' OWN law against them.

Its MALIBU for god's sake. What kind of owner is he? he sounds rather cheap to me. And, this was ruled an ACCIDENT!! I am sure that Ricki probably had offered some thing in this ACCIDENT via her lawyers and his. However, HE didn't want to accept that because HE is hiding something, had no insurance, is cheap. HE is making HER sound like she's an arsonist, so maybe SHE should sue HIM for defamation!!
