Aug 29th 2009 7:10AM When all is said and done a person has to stop waiting for others to make their life easier. It is 'your' life and it is 'your' choice at how you live it. It is so easy to blame everyone else for your troubles but the truth is if you don't like your life change it.

As for N O being destroyed, being home to so many......people move, find a new place to be home, people do it all the time. A person can either pull themselves up by their bootstraps or can sit an wallow in self pity.

I have a question, why would anyone want to rebuild a city that is below sea level? What a waste of funds, move to higher ground.

Sep 23rd 2007 1:47AM well hey world, I'm fat. Do I want to be....no. Can I change it....not so far. Do the doctors know why I can't lose......sure I am insulin resistant...........can they fix that.....no not really. I eat less than a small child.

Peoples metabolism and genetics decide if you gain easy or not. Some of you seem to think that most fat people are out just gorging themselves to death and that your criticism is called for. Until you have truly walked in anothers shoes your judgement is immature. The lack of being able to see all aspects of this problem shows how little the box one lives in.

Sep 22nd 2007 2:44PM Martha appears to be one of the many who can only see things from her own perspective. The problem with that is that there are as many different perspectives as there are people on the planet. I find it so boring to continually listen to people who think in tiny boxes and can't look out at the expansive real world. I bet Martha will have a totally different take on things when her knees are shot or she damages part of her body permanently.
I agree with Richard Day Gore that the vanity-driven lifestyle is prevalent everywhere.
It's amazing......society creates a situation then condemns people for buying into it...............I wonder what will happen when they discover excercise is bad for you too.
