I am sure i have seen similar interfaces before!

A few i can remember are:
-'Jonny Mnemonic' (1995)
-A futuristic ad by atari (80' ?)

And if we don't limit ourself to movies&Ads, we can see this type of interaction on SciFi literature.

So, I don't think that Spielberg inspired anyone here! Actually those scenes were tired concepts for some. Especially for those people who might one day make them an everyday reality!
