Chicken Soup Recipes (Kitchen Daily)
Dec 9th 2010 11:02AM It's important to skim the broth as it is starting to cook. For all protein-based broths (chicken, beef, etc.) use a flat spoon or a ladle and skim the foam. Don't boil too hard or the foam breaks up. This makes the broth clear and allows the flavor to intensify.
About a Quarter of Americans Support the Tea Party Movement (Politics Daily)
Apr 5th 2010 5:17PM My issue with the tea party movement is not entirely their motivations or their politics (although they are a little over the edge for me). My problem is with the platform. The economic platform that the tea party movement is advocating is the same platform that is existing today in California (e.g., getting most voters on board with any budget changes, slowing down the process for a minority). look at the mess California is in! If they really wanted to help they would honestly study the models out there that work and don't work, and lobby for rational changes that will actually help. I see them as being folks who simply are reacting without learning any facts.

Memo to the Left: The Public Health Insurance Option Is Dead, Get Over It (Politics Daily)
Mar 16th 2010 2:00PM This is so wrong. The MAJORITY have spoken:last polls were that over 75% of Americans strongly support health care reform. Now there are all shades and flavors of this support, but even the most strident Obama hater has to admit that the health care system in this country is a mess. I simply fail to understand how so many of you think its absolutely fine that a FOR-PROFIT insurance company is totally fine to make your health care decisions but somehow the govt is not. Are you all out of your flipping minds?! What is wrong with you all!?

Palin Says Rahm Emanuel Should be Fired for 'Retarded' Remark (Politics Daily)
Feb 2nd 2010 2:45PM Excuse me, but have any of you actually WORKED in America?! I have heard people called much, much worse at Fortune 50 companies known for their good deeds and great work environments. Emanual may be a jerk but many people talk much worse on their jobs every day, and this is his JOB. Grow up for pity's sake! Let he who is without sin throw the first stone....
How much money do you really need to save for retirement? (WalletPop)
Dec 30th 2009 9:18AM Cedric, get a life! This "road to hell" has been in the works for years. Mostly due to the delusional Reaganites who somehow believed in supply side economics - otherwise known as voodoo economics. The other folks have it right. Pay off debt, save some money, and live well but prudently. And stop bitching. Life has never been easy. If you liked the good old days so much why don't you go back to oh, say 1930?

Dec 18th 2009 8:23AM What I want to know is how this woman and her family can afford a vacation in Hawaii? I looked at her tax returns (when they were posted as part of the election last year) and she and her husband live WAY too well for the amount of money they supposedly make. My husband and I make more money, have no kids, and live much less extravagantly then she does. We went to Hawaii once, using frequent flier miles, for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it just about broke the bank. Of course, we save lots of money for retirement, give generously to charity, and have a huge (poor) family that we help out. Maybe her parents (who sent her to Hawaii not once but TWICE in an attempt for her to get a college degree) would adopt me?
Should the Peace Prize Have Gone to Neda? (Politics Daily)
Oct 13th 2009 5:33PM The Nobel Committee seems to be making some very non-traditional choices this year in lots of areas. Of course, Obama is getting the press, but the Economics choice of a woman (!) from Univ. of Illinois (Bloomington) whose work was on natural resources management! Unheard of! Let's discuss that one from out of left field for awhile......
