Can't find your favorite toothpaste? Retailers are choosing for you (WalletPop)

Jun 26th 2009 9:06PM I am outraged by the drop of Sunstar Oral products, Gum and Butler. I am a dental hygienist and often recommend these brands but can no longer send folks to Walgreens or WalMart for their purchase. It is my understanding that they force companies to PAY for their shelf space, giving an unfair advantage to the larger companies, who do not always make the better product. I now tell my patients to order on line, but with such hectic schedules now, I know many will just pick up whatever the big retailers have to offer. How sad for us as consumers and how sad for our attempts at quality health care.

AOL Straw Poll: June 5 - June 13 (Politics Daily)

Jun 12th 2008 3:41PM I'll be writing in Lou Dobbs and would encourage all other Independents to do the same. He is the only one who doesn't give in to the Lobbyists and shows some common sense.

Verizon Wireless 'Swiveling' Flipshot Phone (Switched)

Dec 9th 2007 7:26PM How interesting! My verizon phone malfunctioned, and I was told it wasn't under warranty because of water damage, though it had never been anywhere near water the whole time I had it. My contract is up now and I am trying to decide if I'll stay with Verizon or switch. I had blamed the previous phone problem on the phone, but now I wonder if it is Verizon who shammed me.

Divorce attorney: $150/hour. Court fees: $300. Housekeeper saving my marriage: priceless? (ParentDish)

Apr 16th 2006 4:35PM I have seen some very interesting comments on this site. When you work, you are being compensated for your time and efforts, male or female, married or single. How you chose to spend your time or money when you are not working is a decision which is personal or perhaps shared between partners. If a marital partner insists on no outside help, as one on this list insists, that partner needs to do the chores.
Another issue, not addressed is that some simply do not see the value of an immaculate abode at all times. It is my house, I pay the bills, I am the only one who lives here, and if there is dust on the figurines, it is off limits to criticism from anyone. If you don't like the way I keep house, don't come in, don't try to make me feel badly due to your preconceived ideas.
