Sep 24th 2011 12:24PM BAD advice! yes, peroxide is what vets use to induce vomiting. The amount depends on the weight of the dog. AND NEVER induce vomiting if what they swallowed is sharp. It also doesn't always work, and has to be repeated after 10 minutes, and only in a smaller amount advised by a vet. If that doesn't work they need to go in immediately to the pet ER. The other important thing is the timing. More than 10 minutes after ingestion, it rarely works and can cause more harm than good.

Jul 10th 2011 8:43AM To the person who asked "where's the cage".....what a lousy thing to say. This is a woman with 8 two and a half year olds in an interview. I think they were no different than most 2-1/2 year olds. Children at that age have VERY short attention spans. I see moms with ONE kid in a store who has kids who are a thousand times worse than they are.
She is miraculously not on public aid. For that I give her a lot of thumbs up.
All you haters need to get busy tending your own lives.

When their mother dies in a year, or 3 and they are not accustomed to being without her and THEN forced to move to a new state, a new home with a parent they dont know so well then THAT would be bad. This mom can find a way to see her children.

May 11th 2011 12:20PM My sister in law just died of breat cancer. She was 36 and had 2 young daughters. While she was still married, so she did not have this issue in this article, I CAN tell you, she lived 3 years in stage 4...not progressing, but matastasized to her bones. Those years were spent in pain, tired, sick, and yes hopeful. She was not capapbel of caring for her children and could not have done so as a single parent. The community had the girls often as dad worked. The mom in this article is a single parent, very ill AND unemployed. Eventually she will die. Sooner, not later. If the children have little contact with the surviving parent, then life after the death of the sick parent, they feel lost and displaced when they have no choice but to live with the other parent. While this ruling is certainly sad, I believe it was right for the kids long term.
