Apr 29th 2008 1:35PM I haven't had the nerve to try another Domino's pizza since I was in college back in the 1980's. Imagine a pizza so bad that three ravenous and semi-broke college guys would toss it into the garbage after two bites. The second bite was only to verify the horror of the first bite. If only ours had been tomato sauce smeared on cardboard, we would've licked off the tomato sauce. But, no, there was something REALLY wrong with it.

A tired and trite response, Steve, but right you are, nonetheless. Considering the state of the team a quarter-century ago and the state it's now in, Al HAS forgotten more about football than any of us will ever learn. He used to be a genius. Now he's a prisoner of his own hype.
Al wants all the control and benefits of being a head coach but he simply doesn't have the balls to actually BE the head coach. His ego can't let him bear the brunt of a loss, so he hires scapegoats to take the credit for the losses while he takes credit for the wins. Problem is, he's running out of credible head-coaching candidates willing to be scapegoats. If (make that when) he finally alienates Kiffin into leaving, Davis may end up having to hire some junior college coach -- or a dog-catcher -- willing to put up even with Al in order to build up the resume'.
Imagine playing for a head coach when you know he's not really the head coach. And imagine having to coach a bunch of players who know that when they don't like what the coach says, they can just run crying to Al. It's amazing this team has won as many games as it has since Gruden's departure.

Maybe because selling the "Horry Kow!" shirts won't land the seller and the buyer in the morgue?
Those shirts aren't just racism. In going after a safe target, they're cowardly racism.

It just makes me wonder about the cult-fodder automatons MS employs. Only the locksteppingest of the lockstepping chucklebucks could possibly be pumped up -- much less, amused -- by that idiotic video.
