Mar 2nd 2011 7:36PM Being clean is not sober. My husband was clean for 5 yrs before we could call him sober. Sober we mean rational with good coping skills; able to function in a normal life.

Feb 28th 2011 6:21PM To cause doubt among the weakest trying to get sober is unforgiveable. Everyone knows AA works if you WANT to get sober. Afterall, AA has been around long before Sheen and will be here long after. We have 30 yrs. sobriety in my home and early on Charlie's words might have harm my loved one HOWEVER, this meltdown of a person with everything anyone could want is a good lesson too. If I were using and saw this maybe I would think before it got that far...maybe I would care enough about myself to get help.
