Feb 25th 2009 4:19PM I believe there is some truth to this- I am a teacher and I'm seeing this in all my students. Sit in on a class or two and you might rethink your view. There are 5th graders who cannot even parse a sentence correctly.

I was teaching a lesson on the Day of the Dead and an entire grade level didn't even understand what an 'Ancestor was. Some didn't even know where their families were from or even what their grandparents former occupation let alone their own parents occupation. When testing...there are children who don't even know which bubble to fill in for their birthdate.

How about the children who don't even know how to play dodgeball, duckduck goose or even the difference between the infield and outfield when playing kickball???

I've seen this get worse in the last 10 years. Yes teachers can teach, but we can only do so much during the day. You cannot teach common sense. YOu ought to see their parents when they drop them off in the morning... they're all dressed to the T and on their cell phones while they practically kick their kids out of the car. Kids not in uniform and hair a mess, no bookbags, kids walking around with their shoes untied... Just a mess! You don't even know.

Also, the women look so much sexier in the posters because they have a little flesh on their bones. Am I not correct? The models look a bit like skinny little girls. Not enough curves.

Everybody uses that expression every now and then in conversation-but not to be mean or racist! Over time expression may change their meaning. This kind of change is called a "semantic change".
