Is the Romance Gone? Couples Increasingly Sleeping in Separate Beds (AOL Healthy Living)

Jul 26th 2010 7:31PM I think it's a great idea - I wanted seperate beds from the beginning. There are many nights that all I do is flip and can't get comfortable. We don't have a mattress that a skinny person can jump on and not spill wine. When hub has a restless night I literally feel my body leave the mattress. I think the ones who say it's silly must be newlyweds. Us? we have had a hump in the middle of the mattress for quite a few years now :)

How Can I Get My Husband to Help? (ParentDish)

Mar 9th 2010 9:39AM I don't get it. Why do men/fathers need praise all the time? I never get praise for how clean I got the toilet or how they never want for clean socks nor am I asked nicely to mop the floor. Why do they always need ego boosters? Aren't they adults who should know what to do in the first place?

Should Dogs Go Everywhere With Their Owners? (Pawnation OLD)

Feb 16th 2010 9:50AM Dogs should not be allowed in stores for so many reasons that have all been named here. But I think they should be allowed at "run-in" places like the Post office, coffee shop, etc. places you may just need or want to pick up a quick something when you are on your walk or make as a destination for your walk.

Why One Veterinarian Quit, Disgusted With a Profession He Once Revered (Pawnation OLD)

Dec 10th 2009 9:59AM I had to just recently put my pug to sleep. It was heartbreaking and to a whole different level. I knew he was going to die months and months ago because of a consumer site I found about food I had been feeding him. All the dogs had many of the same symptoms, including mine and many of the symptoms cleared up when the food was changed. Many of the dogs did continue to have residual symptoms and my dog was no different. He had a huge seizure in May and lost quite a bit of weight after that. I had an ultrasound done and they told me that he had a "thickening" but I was never shown any visuals. His red blood count was low, he was losing protein but he was never "clinical". He was always happy to see people. He was 10 and I didn't want to put him through surgery when there was such a good chance that he had cancer and no one could guarentee me different. I went to my regular vet and all he said was "He needs surgery, call me when you're ready". A friend told me about a vet that she loves and I went to her. He was put on quite a bit of meds and special food and he improved. He was in good enough shape that we started out 45 min-hour walks and he got to attend one of his favorites - a pug party. After that he slowly started slipping, not wanting to take his meds refusing his food no matter what I tried. Then one morning right after midnight he woke up vomiting, having trouble breathing, pooping. Once he let out a cry was when I realized "What the hell am I doing to you? and brought him 1/2 hour to the emergency center that is open. He hardly moved, not happy to see the desk tech and I knew it was the right decision, In the room he mustered up all the strength he could, got up, rested his head on my chest and wagged his tail. Then he went back and dropped. I'm not even totally sure he was alive for the second shot. Did I wait too long? I don't know. I went by what he "told" me with his tail, his eyes, what I researched, learned. But having a vet who supported my decisions in his care with professional/moral advice was the best thing that could have happened to us. Of couse I'm not happy with many of the decisions I had to make but I'm comfortable with them

Mom Says: I Am Not an Exotic Dancer, I Work at Home Depot (ParentDish)

Dec 2nd 2009 8:28AM I noticed how mom's butt is slightly angled back. Seems strange that a little kid would put her mom in that stance while all the men are straight-backed - and women don't buy snow shovels in her area? hmmmmm lol

Microsoft Store Employees (Electric) Slide to Humiliating New Lows (Switched)

Nov 23rd 2009 6:49AM Could be a good thing - bad as they are :) Wakes them up in the middle of the afternoon. BUT get rid of the singing along and I think if I was in that store I would have been ready to cut off those clapping hands after the first 30 seconds.

Suri Cruise Stumbles in Her High Heels (ParentDish)

Nov 21st 2009 5:28AM Last week it was "Why can't they tie suri's hair and get it out of her face" So they did that and now it's something else. It's been pretty warm around here lately so I don't think there's anything wrong with what she's wearing. Even celebrities have to pick their battles and maybe those silly shoes weren't worth the energy

Ad Rant: Racy Reebok ad raises eyebrows (WalletPop)

Nov 5th 2009 4:22AM Again? When did it ever stop? Why not have a laugh about it? I would rather be sitting in the same room with my teenager when these commercials come on then (as last night) when the KY for her commercial came on or the commercial for the sanitary napkin.

3 Days, $1500, One Dramatic Makeover (Shelterpop)

Oct 28th 2009 7:15AM I like it...except for that painted on headboard - it looks like it was painted on by a middle schooler. Couldn't you have done better than that?
